This is one of the few movies that I am really looking forward to next year. A true telling of the War of the Worlds book, with the Aliens in walking tanks that look like spiders. It is suprising that this film really went into production fast. Cruise was gearing up MI3, and Spielberg was gearing up for the hopeful Indy 4. When both fell through, this film got pushed up. I mean it was like the week after those films got put on hold, they were shooting this film. It seems like they even started shooting some of the smaller scenes before the rest of the sets and everything else was ready to make the Summer 2005 release.
