Part 4: The Second Wish
The school year resumed on January 7th just like the calendar said, which brought joy to many but disheartened many more. Hiro fell into the latter, his entrance tests were fast approaching, which resulted in him finding many of his nights being spent in one of two different cram schools. Despite a rocky start to his senior year, he was determined to pull out a miracle, and slowly but surely he did notice his scores getting higher and higher.
This joy was short-lived as it caused him to vividly remember his previous encounters with the devil and his contract.
Every morning as he greeted Ms. Ando his mind would immediately replay the images of her being stripped and tickled by those pale men. He could clearly see them unzipping her shirt and tickling her bare armpits or them ripping off her socks before violating her bare feet. He could hear her begging and laughter ringing in his ears. Unfortunately on more than one occasion this resulted in his pants becoming tight.
Then there was the awkwardness at home, he often found himself staring at his mother’s feet and remembering the sight of her feet sticking out of the offering box and the sounds he heard as he tickled her feet while the blue devil stood over him watching him.
But the most clear reminder was that dark green charm he had with the oni holding up three fingers. Hiro had tried to get rid of it on more than one occasion but the damned thing would always return in his hands the next morning. He had tossed it in the river, a fire, and even took it to the local shrine but no matter what it always returned in perfect condition. So needless to say Hiro had admitted defeat and now kept it in his pocket.
Hiro pushed open the door leading him out from the cram school into the cold winter night, fresh snow covered the ground and more continued to fall further covering the ground. His head was turned back talking to his friends behind him. The boy directly behind him was a short skinny boy, he had a buzzed head and had a pair of black framed glasses resting on his face. His uniform matched Hiro’s and he wore a pair of brown gloves. The boy went by the name Taro, he often teased that his parents couldn't think of a more generic name. And picking up the rear was a tall boy named Yuki. Yuki was Hiro’s cousin which explained how they generally looked more like brothers than cousins.
“So you ready for the test next week?” asked Hiro as he stepped out into the snow before turning around to face his friends.
“Eh maybe,...I studied the whole winter holiday so it better pay off.” retorted Taro with a tone of annoyance in his voice.
“I'm sure that was your mom’s idea too. Hahah though she is pretty scary so i wouldnt want to get on her bad side.” mocked Yuki “Hey, Hiro did your little journey up to the shrine of Shiroyama pay off?”
Hiro paused for a minute debating if to be honest or not. “Well,......I couldn't find it so I just headed home after about an hour.”, he replied, choosing to lie.
“I doubt that place even exists, how did you even get your parents to agree to let you go?” asked Taro looking at him in disbelief.
“He didn't. The idiot snuck out in the middle of the night after his parents had passed out from drinking.” interjected Yuki before Hiro could answer.
“Anyway, I need to go home and get ready for school tomorrow. Ill see you guys tomorrow.” Hiro said as he started to break away from the group.
“Well tell your Mihiro I said ‘hi.” Taro said with a smirk.
“Yea, ill tell her the dirty old man asked about her.” Hiro said before walking away. Behind him he could hear Taro ranting about being called a dirty old man. This caused the other two boys to laugh, further irritating the boy.
On his way home, Hiro stopped by a Lawson, the blue lights of the store illuminated the parking lot. He stepped up to the entrance causing the automatic doors to slide open as the voice of the staff greeted him with their signature “welcome”. He walked to the back of the store and pulled out a cola before heading to the front. As the staff rang up the drink he asked for a corn dog before pulling out his wallet. An even more disheartening sight greeted him as he opened his wallet, a pair of 1000 yen bills greeted him. He quickly paid for his food and left. As he stood outside watching the snow fall, slowly eating his corn dog and drinking his cola, an idea popped into his head.
“What if I ask for money from the charm. Surely a little money wouldn't warrant such a large tribute as the previous two blessings.” But Hiro quickly wiped the idea from his mind, he quickly finished up and continued on his way home.

As Hiro turned the corner that led from the main street to his house he suddenly found himself in an all too familiar place. He was standing at the worn gates that led to the shrine of Shiroyama. The torches that lined the stony pathway were lit and at the shrine sat Kami-no-Muichiro, his piercing yellow eyes staring at Hiro, a dark smile painted across his face. He lay there on his side his face resting in his left hand.
“So my dear Hiro, I hear you would like to receive a blessing for good fortune from me.”
“I dont remember wishing for anything.” He said stuttering trying to deny the thought that had popped into his head moments earlier.
“Nonsense, I heard your thoughts and you are in need of money. And i will happily give it to you. For a price that is.” said the blue giant with a almost generous tone.
“Yea, but im not sure that your price isnt too steep. Look what happened to my teacher and mother and even me.” He responded feeling slightly emboldened.
“Haha they were not hurt and your little Hiro enjoyed what happened to Ms. Ando. Maybe we should have done more to her hehe.” Kami-no-Muichiro said with a slight erotic tone as if to encourage Hiro.
“Well maybe I would like to receive a blessing of fortune but..”, Hiro started up.
“But you are worried about what will happen. Here ill make it easy for you, you must offer up to 30 minutes to me but how that is divided is up to you. Meaning if you offer two people then it will only be for 15 minutes and so on.” interrupted Muichiro sounded like an old friend comforting Hiro.
Hiro paused for a minute before speaking up, “Fine then ill offer up 3 people to you for 10 minutes.” Sounding proud of his idea as if it had been his own.
The blue kami just laughed before pulling out the red deck of cards again. Hiro slowly walked up the stony path before stopping in front of the giant. He reached down and picked up three cards, he paused before turning them over to read the names. “Mihiro, Taro, and Miho”
Hiro paused for a minute, he knew the first two but who the hell was Miho?”
