2025 has not been a good year for the New York Mets and or their fans.

First they blew a playoff spot on the last day of the regular season.

Now, they lost closer Edwin Diaz and their best hitter, Pete Alonso, on the same day!

After making the playoffs in 2024, and narrowly missing a playoff spot in 2025, the Mets wont likely be seeing the playoffs in 2026.
