I took a short trip out to the Kananaskis Provincial Park today, and ran into this:

All that white crap is SNOW, I tried to out run it but it kept on following me:

This is the sure sign of an Arctic Front! In response, our government has moved the alert level to taupe and has begun the process of exporting this abomination to the US. I'm tired of living on the front lines! If it weren't for the free health care, civilized politics based on issues (not religious affiliation), more stable economy, a surplus of undisturbed boreal forest, real beer, and the fact that our national leader isn't a complete moron; I would move.

On the upside, with winter approaching, I didn't have to deal with the mosquitoes or bears.

Those are some beautiful scenes Thanks for sharing them

If it didn't get so cold in Canada,I could live up there 😛

Great pictures! I have to say though, SNOW IS AWESOME! I love winter, the cold the snow all of it!

Excellent!! Snow is not yet extinct!!!

THANK YOU for this heart-warming snippet of optimism!!! :bouncybou

Much as I LOVE the Fall especially, & the change of seasons generally
(though I hate extremes, esp. when humidity is involved...)

it's great to see Snow hasn't been Eliminated yet by the Polluters-For-Profit!!!

When I got to Mount Lorette Ponds, the water was absolutely still...like glass. I've never seen them like that before.

:yowzer:You cruel and unusual person, you! Did you know that one of the more common causes of back pain during winter is snow removal? Research also shows that the number of acute heart problems increase when there’s a significant dip in the outdoor temperature or when there’s a swing to extreme atmospheric pressure. One study found that a 10-degree drop in temperature translates into a 38 percent increased risk of a recurrent heart attack. How many people have to die for your dream of a white Christmas! I recommend strong legislation to restrict the effects of winter and to expedite the arrival of Spring.

Last winter, when it was almost -40 degrees, I was re-evaluating my position on global warming...

It's great news too that you bring! I love this time of year. I was on the deck a few nights ago, strange warm spot in N.E. since, but then it was like what Tony Soprano spoke of. When he said it then it took me back, as it did a few nights ago, to being a kid."It's like Like the end of October, ya know, when you can smell everyone first lighting their fireplaces.", or something like that. That smell was in the air Tuesday, sorta caught me off guard. I just stood there looking into the trees... then the neighbors called the cops, they came and took me away for awhile, ya know until I was 'better', whatever that means.

Anyway, cop jokes aside, Autumn is the best, as it leads into the threads topic...

If people take their time or i dunno USE A SNOW BLOWER/THROWER (thrower being electric snow shovel). Less people would get hurt/have heart attacks/whatever. As far as "how many people have to die for my dream of a white christmas". People die all the time from various things, a white christmas isn't the single cause for this.

While all you Yankees are knee deep in snow this winter,i shall be basking in our average daily high of 63 degrees fahrenheit for December and January.😛

:jester: Them's fightin' words from where I come from...I challenge you to a duel. Snowballs from 20 paces, and don't you be bringin' that Colt Peacemaker with ya:

The colts a antique, wouldn't ever think about bringing it anywhere. However, growing up in new england, i happen to make one mean snowball. Perhaps even some iceballs. I accept your duel.

How hot and humid does it get there in the summer? 😛

Great!!! I can schedule you in for sometime in late May...don't worry, I'll still have some snow, the stuff won't melt until June. But if there's any pieces of gravel and junk in it I'm telling Mom!!!

May is good for me. No worries, i will make sure no gravel and junk are in the snowballs. However i cannot promise some of them won't be yellow. :happyfloa
