at least some of your teams are doing something. my 49ers? still continue to baffle me. we let go of Brandon Lloyd and pick up Antonio Bryant? how come i'm not exactly jumping for joy?

i think the 49er management has absolutely NO CLUE on where to go. drafting Alex Smith was a bad idea. he played in a "gimmick" offense in college, so he was never really prepared for complex pro style offenses. he is "okay", but we are in a world of hurt.

of course my 49ers thought it would be a good idea and WIN THEIR LAST TWO GAMES last year, effectively ending any chance of Reggie Bush wearing 49er gold. now, i PRAY they draft that Tight End from Maryland (i keep forgetting his name), but the guy is like 6'4" 260 pounds and get this....he ran a 4.38 40 yard time in the combine last month. a 4.38???????!!! for a TIGHT END???!!!! since we lost Bush, we better get this guy, that way Smith has another target.

i can see another losing season for the 49ers again. i miss Eddie Debartolo...

Nice sig primetime, I think you mean Vernon Davis. He is the top rated TE in this years draft. Hey Antonio Bryant is a good reciever with a rare combination of size and speed and that is one more then Oakland plus I would take Smith over Collins or McCown any day.

hey German, thanks for providing the 49er pics of Deion. you should see the other designs Mimi came up with. i like yours as well. i always liked Charles Woodson, even when he won the Heisman at Michigan.

Vernon Davis, that's right! that guy is a freak of nature. 4.38? it boggles the mind. he could become the next Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzales, but faster. c'mon 49ers, do the right thing!

Antonio Bryant is a decent receiver, but i dont see him as that playmaker receiver. he isnt a Hines Ward, he isnt a T.O., he isnt Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, etc. he's okay. the 49ers need someone who can make plays. they need a whole new team really, but get someone who can excite the fans at the same time we are losing. i hope Mike Nolan and crew make the right decision.

i'm shocked Culpepper is in Miami. it should be interesting as now Chris Chambers has a good QB. but what would really help him is Ricky Williams. Ronnie Brown is okay, but Ricky is getting his football "legs" again and will be a force.

who will the Raiders get for QB? they need one badly. i thought Culpepper would go there. i guess not. who are the Raiders looking to draft? AJ Hawk?

Just looking at this site I found the Raiders have options, there are high ranking QBs that could fall to Oakland in the 2nd round: D.J. Shockley from Georgia or Omar Jacobs from Bowling Green both are athletes (and have more of a complete passing action then young) which would leave the Raiders taken Huff from Texas with their top pick. Plus what I have been saying all along that their are LB's available now Arrington or Peterson, you got to spend money to win. The Raiders being quite makes me think that Mr Davis has something up his sleeve.

Yeah but they may be stuck with Tuiasosopo which will assure them of a 4-12 season at best!

I always said it would be a 3-13 season but at least I can sleep at night with out the McCown nightmares.

Yeah but McCown is 100 times better than Tuiasosopo and thats scary! Why not go after Jon Kitna? Or better yet reunite Culpepper with Moss. Thats what the fans really want to see. :triangle:

I wanted to see them reunite for sure. I think that they'll take a QB in April though, either Young or Cutler. They could even be interested in Matt Schaub, the backup in Atlanta, and he's ok. Maybe with time he could be a good QB.

Matt Schaub could be a very good pick up for the boys in black. That would be my hope because why draft a rookie whos gonna take 3 years to develop when Moss, Porter and Jordan are in their prime. The timetable would be off. Go for Schaub or how about the Titans backup Billy Volek? He proved better than McNair in his subbing time. :rotate:

Schaub is good option but Atlanta are asking a high price, look the Jets cant even trade Abraham and a draft pick for him. Volek i'm worried about last season he was in the same position as Schaub the best QB available ready to take over any team when ever etc etc but he fell from everyone's lips for one reason or another which makes me think he was a on hit wonder so to speak.

I'm pretty sure that Tuiasosopo wont be the starting QB come week 1 but nothing left on the market worth consideration a 'popularity' draft pick in Vince Young seems to be a legit chance.

Also I think Mr Davis has wheels in motion in regards to something big - look was there more of a typical Davis/Raiders move available in getting Culpepper - I think not, which come draft day I can honestly say I would not be surprised if the Raiders some how get the top pick and draft Reggie Bush........something he would do.

I keep on saying a quality big name LB would do wonders for the team, moral and on the field.

Id let the Texans or whoever have Reggie Bush. Lamont Jordan is very good if the O line blocks for him. Honestly id take that linebacker you said or some other hole thats needed. Schwab has a high asking price but he played so well in Vicks abscence you might want to try to get his asking price down. Prority #1 for Raiders is a QB and id say some OLmen to protect him....trade the pick? Maybe. :triangle:

For sure no good having Moss on one side of the field and Porter on the other if you have no QB throwing them the ball but also its no good chasing points every drive if the D cant stop other teams.

Personally I think Huff from Texas would be a nice pick he can hit and cover and like what all the mock draft say about Hawk, Huff can also change a game on big plays and I hate to admit but listening to archived Raiders games from last season they dont really need a big name LB, they played a base nickle package which means 2 LB's where both Morrison and Clark played above average - I think Morrison was even recognised as a top 5 rookie defense player and with Woodson nearly 100% not resigning that leaves Asomugha, Washington and Routt (Hill left today) all young and can grow. I hate the Raider safeties I really do, there not a Raider safety like remember Tatum (think thats how you spell it) yeah I do and I think most receivers do as well, Huff will bring that back to the Silver and Black. The line pending how Sapp is after the injury is alright we had the NFL sack leader but some one like Abraham will make it rival to the Giants combo.

Even with Collins the Raiders had a top 10 passing attack think a few O line players like Wrath said and a half decent QB willing to make plays (Collins was simply to worried losing his job or getting stabbed by a member or the black hole one or another) which brings me to the point of taking Huff first as there is nothing at the safety position in the draft after him but where there a plenty of quality QB's

Id still go for Matt Schwab cuz Al Davis is interested putting points on the board. Defense bores him. He wants a QB that can hook up with his prize Randy Moss. Schwab can do that and he can do that now this way Randy Moss jerseys sell better than they do now. Davis wants that stadium filled and a 4-12 record as long as your scoring 20-30+ points a game will do that. :wowzer:

We will see what happens....

Also is I found this statement which I think symbolizes the Raiders fans nearly 100%:

"Raider fans are fair-minded that way. They'll do anything for you if you win, and they'll do anything to you if you don't."

Kust

Mr Davis should sign LL to play safety.
