[/QUOTE]Philadelphia can only cover the spread by WINNING the game!!! They are the favorite. Detroit is GETTING the 6 1/2 points. Houston is the underdog, they don't have to cover the spread. They are getting 6 points. They just have to lose the game by 5 points or less. Indianapolis is the favorite here. If you see a plus sign by the visiting team they are the underdogs. If you see a minus sign by the visiting team ( because I put the plus and minus signs by the visiting team only to create less confusion ) they are the favorite to win the game by that many points or more. If you are not sure how this works PM me. I just want to make sure you do well.

Indianapolis -6 @ Houston--- this will be a close game in my opinion. The Colts are the best in football but Houston did beat this Colts team back in December 2006. It is the Texans only win in 10 tries. With Andre Johnson their wideout, Matt Schaub will have to be more creative in the passing game to get a win. Payton only has to be Manning to win this game. Edge: Colts and giving the points.

San Diego -5 @ Green Bay---LaDainain Tomlinson has gain 68 yards so far this year. I expect a breakout gane for LT and the Chargers.

Minnesota +2 1/2 @ Kansas City--- Herman Edwards team started 0-2 last year and made the playoffs. The idea here would be let Larry Johnson run for 130 or 140 yards and win this game. But the opponent is the Vikings. One of the toughest teams to run on. I know this is KC's homecoming, but it won't be sweet.

Detroit +6 1/2 @ Philadelphia--- How do you stop Detroit's highpowered offense??? You give Jon Kitna a concussion and send him to the bench. The Vikings figured that out. But something happened on the way to a Vikings victory a week ago. Kitna came back in and dominated the last half of the 4th quarter and overtime and gave the Lions a win. Their 2nd this year and third win in a row ( dating back to last season ). The Lions have not had a 4 game winning streak since October 1999 and they have not started a season 3-0 since 1980. The Eagles conversly have not started a season 0-3 since 1999. The Eagles will have a lot of work to do this week to win. They will probably win too. But it will be close. I'm taking the Lions and the points.

Buffalo +16 1/2 @ New England --- You know I don't like either of these teams because they are in the Jets division. I hate those guys in New England that cheat to win games. I hate those who defend the cheater. Yet I can't make a great case for the non-cheating Bills to win this game. So I will go with the cheaters because I can't continue to lose games.

Miami +3 @ New York Jets--- The Jets have won 5 of their last 6 games against the Dolphins. The 31st rank defense took a hit as they will not suit up Zack Thomas who is out due to a concussion. With the Jets weapons, this could be a fun afternoon for Gang Green in the Meadowland.

San Francisco +9 @ Pittsburgh--- The 49ers have averaged 190 yards a game over their 1st 2 games. That is the worst in the league. Now they travel 2800 miles to take on the Steelers where everything seems right with the world. Big Ben is 9-1 in his career against the NFC. So this much anticipated showdown will probably fizzle fast. San Francisco doesn't have enough weapons to beat Pittsburgh.

Arizona +7 1/2 @ Baltimore--- The more I watch the Cardinals, the more I like the Cardinals. Can they win this game??? Absolutely. Will they win this game??? Probably not ( though I hope they do ). But a 7 1/2 point spread favoring Baltimore is too high. There is a bit of good news out of Ravens camp and that Steve McNair will be the starting QB for the Ravens after missing last week due to injury. Taking the points and the Cardinals.

St.Louis +3 1/2 @ Tampa Bay--- This will be a long year for the Buccaneers. They have very few weapons they can count on offensively. St.Louis on the other hand have more than plenty of weapons to keep this game entertaining. Taking the Rams.

Jacksonville +3 1/2 @ Denver--- This is simple. Denver will not play down to their opponents the the Jaguars have over the last couple of years. I think that Jack Del Rio's job could be in trouble if this team continues to play like they did last week against Atlanta ( though they won the game 13-7 ). The Jags won that game because Atlanta has a bad team and no other reason. That is not winning football. I am taking the homestanding Broncos.

Cincinnati +3 @ SeattleThe Bengals defense allowed 51 points to the Browns. I think that Matt Hasslebeck and Shaun Alexander are salavating to start this game. Seattle in a romp.

Cleveland +3 @ Oakland--- The Browns have not won 2 straight games since 2004. They will not score 51 points off of the Raiders defense. Give the edge and the game to the Raiders.

Carolina -3 1/2 @ Atlanta--- The only reason why I am picking Carolina right now is because they are playing Atlanta. Maybe acquiring Leftwich will help this team out. But not this week. Taking Carolina.

New York Giants +4 @ Washington--- The Giants should stop blaming the fans and the media for their shortcomings. This is the worst defense in the league. Think about this; the Bengals gave up 51 points a week ago and yet the Giants have gven up more in the 1st 2 games ( 80 points ) than the Bengals have ( 71 points ). The Giants need to look in the mirror to find blame. But don't blame Eli Manning. 562 yards passing 5 TD's and 2 INT's. He has done well. Not too many other Giants can say that. Especially on defense. Washington will give the Giants their fill of Portis and Betts. This will be an easy win for the Redskins.

Dallas +3 1/2 @ Chicago---The Bears are 15-3 over their last 18 home games. This Cowboy team is loaded. Romo versus Grossman is no contest. I expect a Cowboys win. Taking the points and the Cowboys.

Tennessee +4 1/2 @ New Orleans--- My Fantasy team on Fox needed to have Drew Brees to have a big game. I think this will be an entertaining game. I can see a 34-27 game here. If I am right, then I hope it is the Saints that have the 34 so I can this game.

Those are the pick for this week!!! Have a Great weekend everyone and enjoy the games!!!

Thanks Kered for posting the picks for me. Luckily, I was without a computer for just a short time.
My daughter brought her laptop with her from Washington so's I got one to use now 'til I get one of my own.

Thanks again my friend for helping me out. I owe you one.
