Carolina +3 @ New Orleans - J. Delhomme and Goings out for Sunday, Their bench is not that deep. also peppers is also injured

Jacksonville -2 @ Kansas City – Herm has not impressed me as the head coach and they still have problems with their defense.

Detroit +3 1/2 @ Washington – Detroit is starting to have a good offensive with Mike Marcs calling the plays. However, mike biggest problem with is offense can be cracked if your blitz the QB which Washington love to blitz.

Atlanta +9 @ Tennessee - the games Tennessee lost was all under 1 touchdown or less; and Atlanta still don’t have an identity since Vick was fired.

Miami +5 1/2 @ Houston – Houston all have all the weapons they need to take this game big time.

Seattle +6 @ Pittsburgh – Pitt had a bad game last week I look for them to take it out on Seattle, plus the RB still don’t have a heart against big hitting teams.

Cleveland +16 @ New England – I thought this type of abuse was against the law

Arizona -3 @ St.Louis – the sheep QB is hurt, and the RB has less heart than Seattle’s Rb how in the hell can you be 235 lbs, and running away from contact damn girly man.

New York Jets +3 1/2 @ New York Giants – big bro is going to whup up on lil bro again. BTW when is the jets going to build their own stadium instead of living off the giants hammy down?

Tampa Bay +10 @ Indianapolis – Williams is out on I-R, they have not running game what so ever, look for Indy to send everything plus the kitchen sink after Garcia

San Diego +1 1/2 @ Denver – Have anyone plugged up the chargers to an outlet, they still trying to run off last year batteries

Baltimore -3 1/2 @ San Francisco – I love my GS dearly (#81) but they have no hope what so ever

Chicago +3 @ Green Bay – Chi-town defense is tired and injured; the offense needs to kick in quickly. It sad when your Defense spends more time on the field than the offense ; don’t believe me ask the sheep

Bye Weeks: Cincinnati, Oakland, Philadelphia, Minnesota

Carolina +3 @ New Orleans--- I think it is time for the Saints to get it going. Who better than a tough division rival. It won't come easy for the Saints, but they should prevail with a win.

Jacksonville -2 @ Kansas City--- Kansas City was a dead team two weeks ago. Now they have a bit of momentum. Chiefs throughout their history have been tough to play against at home. Counting on that home-cooking again.

Detroit +3 1/2 @ Washington--- The Lions have a chance to keep the pressure on the Packers with a win. I am not sure they will. But they should be able keep this a field goal game.

Atlanta +9 @ Tennessee--- Joey Harrington has been hot lately as he begins to fulfill some of the promise he had coming out of Oregon. He has a 98.2 passer rating and has completed 71% of his passes for 983 yards. Joey is allowing Atlanta to move forward after this summer's proceeding. Taking the hot QB to keep this game close.

Miami +5 1/2 @ Houston--- Matt Schaub has done an excellent job as he continued to move the Texans in the right direction. Noting they are home and playing against a terrible Miami Dolphins team makes this an easy pick.

Seattle +6 @ Pittsburgh--- I noted that Troy Polamalu is not on the injury report. The Steelers played horrible the final three quarters in Arizona with Polamalu out. Look for the Steelers to comeback at home in a TOUGH fight with the Seahawks. Rematch of Super Bowl XL with have the same results. A Steelers win. An added note to this game, Polamalu is not on the injury report and is listed as questionable for the game against the Seahawks.

Cleveland +16 @ New England--- Derek Anderson has done a fantastic job as QB since taking over for the departed Charlie Frye. And I would love to take Cleveland ( who is 2-2 after 4 weeks ) but there is a guy playing QB by the name of Brady on the other sideline. He may or may not be good, but that didn't stop him from win three Super Bowls. Taking the Pats.

Arizona -3 @ St.Louis--- Arizona's 2 headed QB system is working for now. The Leinart/Warner tandem has done well. With the Rams having issues including benching their injuried starting QB Marc Bulger for Gus Frerotte ( who is like the same age as the Wiz, isn't he??? ) makes it hard to pick the Rams here. Cardinals should win this game comfortably.

New York Jets +3 1/2 @ New York Giants--- Anyone who know me knows I am a Jets fan. This is certainly a homer pick. Giants defense has stepped it up big time. I will hope this game stays within field goal score so I can beat 3 1/2 point spread.

Tampa Bay +10 @ Indianapolis--- Tampa Bay has played well so far this season. I am sure they will play this game as close as they can and try to slow this game down to a defensive style game. Good luck trying to do that. The Super Bowl Champions will pull away in this game.

San Diego +1 1/2 @ Denver--- At some point in any season you get wake up calls. I think ( or hope ) that San Diego got theirs. After being shutout the second half of last week's game I would think the time is now to right the ship. I am taking the road team in an important AFC WEST divisional game.

Baltimore -3 1/2 @ San Francisco--- In the last 12 games Baltimore has been the favored team, they are a putrid 4-8. That being noted, I was one of only 5 who took the Browns against the Ravens last week and won. Hoping to continue that sucessful run.

Chicago +3 @ Green Bay--- A night game in Green Bay after getting trouced on by Detroit in Detroit can possible spell the end of the Bears run at the top of their division. A loss to the revived Packers will drop Da Bears to 1-4. If that is the case, Chicago the Bulls are coming.

Dallas -10 @ Buffalo--- Buffalo played well against the Jets last week to earn their first win of the season. Buffalo has a harsh reality coming in. This is the Cowboys. Dallas will win big.

Those are my picks for week # 5!!! Good Luck to everyone!!! Enjoy the games and have a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

hmm round 2...just another shout out to ticklingfeet4fu for organising this...
Sunday, October 7th,2007

Carolina +3 @ New Orleans - I don't know, if the Saints win it will be by more then 3...

Jacksonville -2 @ Kansas City - Chiefs still have no offense, it was their D that beat San D - I like the front four on the Jags D-line, I think it will be enough for the Jags...

Detroit +3 1/2 @ Washington - after that loss to NY the week off was a blessing, look for a stronger Portis and a more determined Skins D...

Atlanta +9 @ Tennessee - I like the Titans for the win BUT I am liking the 9 points with Atlanta...

Miami +5 1/2 @ Houston - Ronnie Brown will have a field day against Houston, Miami got smacked by Pep last week and thanks to the out spoken Porter they now have to redeem themselves, Houston still without Johnson have no play makers...

Seattle +6 @ Pittsburgh - is it just me or is Shaun Alexander not the same back as years pass??...

Cleveland +16 @ New England - I'm taking the points, Winslow Jr has been a soldier over the middle and I think he will pick up his game more so for this game...

Arizona -3 @ St.Louis - Gus who????...

New York Jets +3 1/2 @ New York Giants - the battle of the D's, I think the Giants just have enough on both sides of the ball to win...

Tampa Bay +10 @ Indianapolis - if Cadillac was rolling I would of went Tampa without hesitation but now not so sure...

San Diego +1 1/2 @ Denver - Can I go for a draw???...

Baltimore -3 1/2 @ San Francisco - just what the Ravens needed, still have confidence in them to go all the way (along with a lot of money)...

Chicago +3 @ Green Bay - all aboard the Farve train...

The lines are different from the Sunday morning Star Ledger. I'll indicate where it's different, but I don't think any of my picks change because of it.

New York Jets +3 1/2 @ New York Giants - The Jets Defense is worse than the Giants Defense, & Chad Pennington cannot throw the ball up the field. The Star-Ledger lists (-3) for the home Giants.
Carolina +3 @ New Orleans - CAR OB David Carr is starting, while NO QB Drew Brees & NO RB Reggie Bush will have big days today.
Jacksonville -2 @ Kansas City - Why? JAC QB David Garrard's inexperience will cause a critical 4th Quarter turnover that will give Kansas City the lead for good.
Detroit +3 1/2 @ Washington - Detroit's offense won't be as good today, & that defense is still a huge problem.
Miami +5 1/2 @ Houston - You cannot pick Miami until that defense shows improvement.
Seattle +6 @ Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh had a burp last week against someone who totally knew their offense & defense. I think they continue to roll today.
Atlanta +9 @ Tennessee - Vince Young needs a defensive score to cover this. Joey Harrington is playing just well enough to not give one. Star Ledger reports +8, but I still think that's high.
Cleveland +16 @ New England - Star Ledger reports +17 I believe that Cleveland can hang with New England offensively, so I was taking the points anyway. But I do believe that the transition on defense for New England with Harrison returning will be just enough to allow that one extra score for Cleveland to pull the outright upset.
Arizona -3 @ St.Louis - Star-Ledger has -3.5 Gus Frerotte is starting, & Marc Bulger has been available in one of my leagues for over a week since I jettisoned him for Joey Harrington. We'll fly high here today.
Tampa Bay +10 @ Indianapolis - I don't like those colt injuries. Jeff Garcia has less INTs than Tom Brady (0 to 2). Tampa Bay's Defense is back. In fact, I think Tampa Bay will win this outright.
San Diego +1 1/2 @ Denver - Lots of turmoil in San Diego. They get what they deserve. They won't be prepared for Travis Henry & Selvin Young. Note to fantasy owners: Get Selvin Young. Travis Henry may miss time soon.
Baltimore -3 1/2 @ San Francisco - Who wins this game is the team that gets the early lead. I believe Frank Gore carries the 49ers today. Trent Dilfer can manage a team effectively (2000 Ravens, with the 2001 superbowl win). He's gotten better, while Billick's QBs have struggled since. Star Ledger has -3
Chicago +3 @ Green Bay The offense looked worse with Brian Griese. No wonder he's on his 4th or 5th team now. 'da Bears should have gone to Kyle Orton. That defense & running game makes the QB situation moot, though.

Dallas -10 @ Buffalo - Buffalo is not pulling off two upsets in a row, especially with the Cowboys on Monday night.
