I don't watch nascar. It's just not my thing. However, I've been hearing about this story for the past week. I honestly didn't know that, before a couple of days ago, it wasn't written in stone that you couldn't get out of your vehicle and approach another car on foot, on an active track. So, just to clarify, has it been a standard practice for that to happen? I mean, I'm not the brightest of the bunch, but you have a better chance of catching me challenging world class surgeons to a 'surgery showdown' than you do of seeing me do that. Vehicles moving at high speeds in an oval.....not the best place to start pitching a fit. Sure, you're upset that another guy wrecked you. I get that. But you must learn to always mind your surroundings.
It's a tragedy that he lost his life, but I don't think this Tony Stewart fellow should be facing charges. In any other setting, this scenario would play out as an unavoidable accident. A guy running into traffic on a street/freeway/highway.....the driver wouldn't be facing charges so long as he didn't intentionally aim for the guy.
