Why is it that good decent honest and very brave people die of things like cancer and very bad people seem to escape and prosper.

I would not wish cancer or similar things on my worst enemy, but seeing murders, rapists, terrorists, and all the other baddies going un harmed just seems so unjust.

but then when was it ever a perfect world.

Something tells me HazElf that people who cause untold amounts of suffering via the consequences of their actions don't have much to look forward to after they expire from the material realm. So, yeah, there may not be justice in this world all the time, but I truly believe there is justice in the next. 😉

The problem is that most people just do not give a shit anymore. It takes supreme inhumanity to even raise the awareness of most. A good number of us are insulated so well from actual pain that it's almost like the things going on around us aren't real.
