Hi there!!

This is my first post, because I can’t offer you clips that aren’t already posted...
But I found a good description to download clips from megavideo, dailymotion and so on, if keepvid doesn’t work (just try it):

• After watching full video at your browser, go at Tools> internet options> settings> view files (For IE, or search tmp file)
• You will get a large size file with long name and unknown type there.
• Copy and paste that file at desktop, this file is the video file in flv format (sometimes there are already a flv format)
• Rename it with flv extension, example 34.flv
• play and enjoy video at your PC with flv player
• If you don’t have flv player download it, it is freely available at lots of website, like http://applian.com/flvplayer/
• If you want to convent it in other format you can also convert it by free converter.
• Remember video at these website is available in only FLV format, there is no other method except this to download directly in other format.
• If you are unable to find FLV file at your PC after waching video, you can use website to get FLV file like kej.tw/flvretriever .

I hope this is helpful for somebody😉

Hi all,

I thought most folks knew about this method. I've been doing this for some time now.

But....... I'm just about pulling my hair out trying to find out how to do it from Firefox. I'm drawing complete blanks here. Anyone know how to do that? :sharp_tee

This one is pretty good

http://vixy.net/

This service allows you to download flash videos and converts them to .avi .mov and .divx

It doesn't always work if the website (Youtube Google video) is busy, but it usually works if you wait a couple of minutes if it says the website is too busy.

Plus you can download one on your pc, it's spyware free, just ad supported.

Hope this helps.

Yes, what I think steiner666 is talking about is simply
fishing the .flv file out of your browser's cache folder.

The Firefox cache folder (in Win98SE, at least) is located here:
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\XXXXX.default\Cache
(Yours will have something other than "XXXXX".) Hunt it down in Windows
Explorer, then make a shortcut to it on your Desktop or Start Menu. If you
use Windows XP, I have no idea where Firefox caches its files. Mrs.MM has
XP; she's trying to hunt it down now. If she finds it, I'll let you know.

I hope this is of some help to you, or to someone. 🙂

Yes, you are right MidnightMan😉 I have made the experience, that keepvid and other flv.download sites didn´t work for adult youtube clips, for the most of dailymotion clips, for megavideo (http://megavideo.com/?c=search&s=tickling) and so on...
So, i was looking around how to download all clips from and found these description. I was not sure if I should post it to this forum. But I got the impression, that it was worth for some users 😉

Have fun:super_hap

Hi Midnightman, yes I'm using Win XP Pro. Firefox stores it's temporary stuff in a different way than IE. That is indeed what the problem is.

To now, I've have reasonably good luck with Vixy as well as www.keepvid.com.

Being able to access the temporary internet files from Firefox would be a real win for me. Not as good as being able to get off thsi slow dial up connection, but still good nonetheless! :super_hap

Firefox works in the same way. My cache is at

C:\Documents and Settings\steve\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bs9lxpu0.default\Cache

so you should be able to find yours using Windows Explorer

Hey Gilmourwaters!

I try to give you the little help😉 I think you have got the right folder, but I know that the folder is very confusing due to the fact that every item from the site is saved in this folder. A good possibility is to look at the size of the files that are saved or simply sort them by size. The size of your clip is much higher than teh other files (at least 500 kb and more). Also, it is helpful to delete the saved itmes by times so you there are not many files at one time. It not easy in the beginning, however I think that you gét used to it😉 Otherwise come back to me and we will manage it

gilmourwaters,

Your History folder is not the same as your Cache folder. What version
of Windows are you using? How you get to the cache folder varies with
different versions. Once there, sorting the files by Size, as steiner666
suggested, helps immensely by putting the large video files at the top.

Firefox users: In the address bar, type about:cache and hit Enter. This brings up the cache manager, which will allow you to view all cached files. (Opera users: enter opera:cache in the Opera address bar.)

Follow MistressValerie's advice above. It will tell you where
your disk cache is located. Then, find it in Windows Explorer,
and make a shortcut to it on your Desktop or your Start Menu.
