The Good Guys embarked on their next road trip. They began by losing two of three in New York, before winning two of three in Atlanta, and losing two of three in Houston. They returned home, on a Sunday night, to begin a nine game homestand, against the teams from the midwest.
While Mitch was away on the trip, communication between he and Naomi was non existent. That was until the last night of the trip, when the team was in Houston. Naomi had sent him an volcanic e-mail the previous night, that had served to greatly enrage Mitch. The next night, while surfing the net, the couple finally caught up with one another via instant message. One thing led to another, with Mitch trying to arrive at a compromise of how to solve their ongoing problems, and Naomi threatening to leave Mitch, but then recanting by saying she still loved him, and didn't want to do so. The long road trips, the team's subpar performance that year, the awful economy, and the miniscule crowds at the ballpark that season, which hardly were enough to fire anyone up, had served to push the couple to the breaking point. Not to mention the fact that they had the Cathy situation in their midst, and Mitch had another mouth to feed, with the offspring he had with Cathy. Things had been stressful enough when it was just Mitch, Naomi, and their three grown children. Now, they had a mistress, and another baby. The couple agreed to try and communicate, to attempt to work out their ongoing difficulties.
When Mitch arrived home from Houston, on Sunday night, he stopped at the airport gift shop to buy Naomi flowers. It might have been a lame attempt to try and promote a quiet week, but it was all Mitch could think of at that point. Mitch got in a cab, and rode home. When he entered the apartment, he called out to his wife of 24 years. "Naomi?". Naomi entered from the kitchen: "Hi", she said, in a normal, non committal tone of voice. "These are for you. A peace offering". Mitch said, handing Naomi the flowers. "Thank you, they're lovely" Naomi said, taking the flowers, and leaning over to kiss Mitch. "Do you still love me?" Mitch asked, in a non badgering manner. Naomi looked at Mitch, first in disbelief, and then turned her head away, choking back tears. "Stop it, Mitchell. Just stop it. What do you think? Do you think I'd still be here if I didnt love you? How the hell can you ask me that after all we've been through together?" Naomi said, feeling more hurt, than angry, at Mitch's question. "Okay, well, I love you too. I have for a quarter century, and I will for the rest of my life. Tell you what. How about, we sleep together tonight. We dont have to do anything, and we just take it from there? Will that be okay?" Mitch said. Naomi nodded her head. The couple undressed, and got into bed, where Mitch timidly started kissing Naomi. "You dont need an engraved invitation to do things with me, Mitchell. We;ve been doing this, since, you were 19, and I was 18? Just do it, and whatever will be, will be" Naomi said. Mitch kissed Naomi for a long time, and it eventually led to sex. When it was over, the couple held each other. "I know we cant go on like we had been lately, but, life without you doesn't seem real. Except for the one year I was with Adrienne, I havent ever been with anyone else. I want to see this through, to make it right" Mitch said. "I want that too, Mitchell. I'm still here, so we arent going to give up, okay? As long as we keep at it, there is reason to hope" Naomi said.
The next night, the Good Guys opened their nine game homestand at the ballpark, with a game against the Pirates. Gil Bellows was on the mound, in front of about 13,000. Mitch came up in the first inning, and drilled a two run homer. The Good Guys got two more runs, and from there, Bellows cruised, allowing five hits, in a 4-0 shutout. Charlize Theron pitched the next night. After allowing three first inning runs, Charlize settled down, and pitched into the seventh, as the Good Guys rallied from three runs down, to score five times in the eighth, for a 5-3 win. Neve Campbell took the ball on Wednesday night, and got drilled, giving up nine runs, in a 9-4 defeat.
Thursday was an off day. Thet day, Mitch and Naomi attended counesling. "I'm home, and we are sleeping together. I dont know about us anymore. Every time it looks like we are down for the count, something changes, and we manage to avoid the final blow" Mitch said. "I've given up predicting on you two, but. I'm glad to see that things have calmed down. Hopefully, you can get back on the right track" The therapist said. After the session, Mitch and Naomi went to visit Cathy. "We owe you some play time, and some sex. Hopefully, we will be able to be here on a more regular basis" Mitch said. The three spent the day in Cathy's bed, loving, tickling, and playing. It was like old, happy times, but, would it last?
Chicago came to town on Friday night. Rachel Leigh Cook had the ball that night, and allowed six runs, but the Good Guys rallied from a 6-2 deficit, to score five ninth inning runs, for an improbable 7-6 win. The good game didnt carry over to Saturday night, as Hayden got hammered for eight tallies, in what would be an 8-3 setback. Gil Bellows was on the hill on Sunday, a sunny, dry, 86 degree day, in front of the largest crowd in weeks, nearly 30,000. Bellows did not disappoint, as he struck out sixteen Cubs, and the Good Guys hit three solo homers, in a 3-0 complete game victory.
St Louis entered Paradise on Monday, for the final series of the homestand. Charlize Theron pitched on Monday night, and got blasted, allowing five runs, in a 5-1 loss. Neve Campbell allowed three runs in six innings on Tuesday night, and the game went to the bottom of the ninth, where the Good Guys scored the winning run, in a 4-3 triumph. Rachel Leigh Cook was the starter on Wednesday afternoon, a sunny, fine, 83 degree day, in front of the largest crowd of the homestand yet, better than 30,000. Cook kept the damage to a managable three runs in six innings, as Paradise rallied from a 3-2 deficit, to score five times. Kate Hudson had to hold off the Cards in the ninth, but she got out of the mess, for a 7-4 Good Guy win, that completed a fine, retro, six and three homestand. Fortunes on field and off had been the best they had been for a long time, and, as the team prepared to head to Pittsburgh the next night, things were looking cautiously optimistic.
On Wednesday night, when Mitch, Naomi and Cathy arrived at Cathy's apartment after dinner, the two women told Mitch to lie down on the floor. He did, and the women removed their closed toe pumps, and proceeded to mash their bare feet directly in his face, causing him to get a huge erection. "You think you are such a big, tough dom, who tickles us. You are nothing but a little grovvelling footboy who loves to have his face in contact with our feet. Big, bad home run hitter, what a sissy you are" Naomi teased. In reality, while Mitch could be a cruel tickler, he also had a very sub side. Thoughts of the five foot ten inch Cathy tickling him, caused him to nearly cream himself at times. The three ended up in bed, tickling the daylights out of each other, until the wee hours of Thursday morning.
In the meantime, the team held its Saturday tickle party, following the loss to the Cubs. The featured lee would be the losing pitcher of the evening, Hayden. She was tied in a black bra and panties, hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club. Second baseman Russell began the tickle on Hayden's neck with fingers, as her head shifted, and the giggles began:HHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Working down, center fielder Ed Burns was next, tickling Hayden on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, as she shrieked:HEHEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEEHEHHEHEE! OMG SO TICKLISH! NOOOOOOOOOO! Moving down, pitcher Gil Bellows was the next ler, attacking Hayden on her hips, inner thighs, and knees, causing her legs to buck:HEEHHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE! With it being expert foot tickler Mitch's turn, he looked to Naomi, who nodded her head in approval, then said. "Go get the bitch!". Mitch approached the tickle table, and attacked Hayden's bare soles with his fingers, feathers, electric toothbrushes, and even his tounge, on her bare soles and toes. Hayden went ballstic, wiggling her toes every which way, and screaming with laughter:HEHEHHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE! OMG IAM GOING TO FUCKING PASS OUT! NO FAIR! NO TOUNGE MITCHELL! STOP IT! NOOOOOOOOOO! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEE! Finally the tickle ended, and the exhausted Hayden was untied.
On Thursday night, Naomi and Cathy drove Mitch to Nassau International, so that he could catch the team flight to Pittsburgh, PA. "We had a wonderful week. I hope this is the first of many. Go off, play well, and the two women who love you will be right here when you get back" Naomi and Cathy said, giving Mitch passionate kisses goodbye.
So, it had been an amazing week of a turnaround and revival, for the team, and in the personal lives of Mitch, Naomi, and Cathy. Was this just a temporary improvement, or the beginning of better times ahead? Those answers to come in the continuing story of the Tickle Team from Paradise Island.
