Norton Anti Virus Question

This isnt a forum problem, but I have an issue with Norton Anti Virus that I am not sure of how to solve.
Usually, every Friday night at 8pm, my computer does it's weekly Norton antivirus scan. Tonight, without realizing, I was on the forum posting at 8pm, and, after I finished, I realized that it was past the time for the scan, I had not been altered about any scan, and the scan had not happened. At first, I thought that maybe my Norton was malfunctioning, but, as I checked my Norton program, it said that all installed programs are working properly. Would anyone know why the computer didnt do it's usual weekly scan, and, can I turn the scan on manually, or, does it not matter, and I can just wait til next week at 8 to see if the scan turns on itself. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You.

Please disregard this thread. I just clicked on a window, and saw that Norton did in fact do the scan while I was surfing the net. Usually, I hear a noise, and see files being counted, but this time, the computer didnt engage in that option. Whatever, at least the weekly scan is done, and no viruses were found.
