Has anyone seen the ridiculously stupid commercial featuring Tim Tebow endorsing some energy product brand called FRS?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO8imsZl1F8&feature=player_detailpage#t=13s

Throughout the commericial his voiceover says, "they said I couldn't be a quarterback. They said I couldn't play for a D-1 school. They said I couldn't win a heisman. They said I wouldn't be a first round pick."

Who the fuck was saying any of this??? He was the most overrated quarterback in the history of college football. They did nothing but praise this guy and kiss his ass. Why would they make an idiotic commercial making it seem like he achieved against all odds??? Seriously, I hate this kid so much.

I did hear a lot of so-called 'experts' and analysts saying he would not make a good NFL quarterback, but not that he couldn't be quarterback. I never heard anything about D-1 school or Heisman. However, most of those same 'experts' who said he would not make a NFL quarterback were the same ones who said he "probably" would not go first round, but they did say some team would pick him up.

I just don't think that someone who was so highly regarded in the public eye, for the most part, should be making a commercial about beating the odds. I think that a commercial like this should be made specifically for someone who rose from the unknown to reach a high level of success. The name that comes to mind there is Kurt Warner, who went from stocking shelves overnight in a grocery store at age 27, to becoming a Super Bowl MVP before he was 30.

What's the problem with it everything he mentions is true. I'm not a big Tebow fan but he has and always will be questioned cause of his size but hey I wouldn't mind being compared to a Doug Flutie. One other thing don't buy the product and maybe the Company will stop using him

Did you ever watch college football? They practically washed this guys nutsack. He hardly even played in his first season as a pro so I don't know why they are making commercials as if he's this overachieving, rags to riches, type athlete.

I can't say I agree with his family's politics, but Tebow seems like a likable enough guy. He has potential, and I think his time with Denver has shown that.

Whether or not he retains being the official starter for the Broncos next season remains to be seen, but Orton hasn't exactly been stellar.

Damn, someone hates Tebow. What Tebow is saying is true. Yes, he was highly regarded during college, but think about what he is saying.

"They said I couldn't be a quarterback." Did you stop and think he was told this during his youth football days? You know, BEFORE he got to Florida.

"They said I couldn't play for a D1 school" Again, this was told to him during his high school days.

"They said I couldn't win a Heisman" Remember when people said Tebow wouldn't win the Heisman because he was a SOPHOMORE?

"They said I wouldn't be a first round pick" Now come on, you KNOW this was said repeatedly before the draft.

Tebow may not be a NFL QB, but again, based on what he has always been told during his life, he just might (key word, might) actually be a solid NFL QB. He has tremendous work ethic (unlike Matt Leinart or Vince Young) so we will see how it all pans out.

Dude, it's just a commercial....

When he actually does something in the NFL, then he can make this commercial. Until he does anything in the NFL, he's just another Matt Leinhart.

Do you know for a fact that he contacted this company saying make this commerical for me. Down here where I am we have this great invention a remote control so when something comes on the TV we can change it you may want to look into this. You need to learn advertising and advertisers pick the person they want there ad to target, not Micheal Vick is doing local ad's down here now I'm almost sure PETA isn't looking to hire him.

But if I'm a sports drink and want to target the novice who maybe under sized he is a good fit. He did win 2 Nat'l Championship a Heisman a MVP for one of the Nat'l Championship games a Maxwell award and was drafted into the NFL.

Be honest you hate the things he stands for. But if you do man up and say that then it's better to let Tiger, Kobe, Ray Lewis and all the pro players that broke laws to do commericals. Let guess you think Carolina's Rae Carruth doing a commerical from prison cause he was good.

Which law did Tiger and Kobe break?

Well Kobe paid off the women in CO to keep her mouth shut.

Did he? Are you sure?

As for Tim Tebow, there is nothing wrong with him making a commercial. The commercial is directed to all those who have doubted him. He definitely is getting the doubt now. There's nothing wrong with him doing the commercial now. He does sell a lot of jerseys...

Kobe and Tiger didn't break any laws. Some people have a problem with the fact they cheated. That's about the only thing that would keep them from advertising for companies.

I don't see how the two are related. I doubt people would buy less gatorade because it was hawked by someone who cheated on his wife.

I think these are all good points. He didn't say when he was told those things, and most of them do seem like it was while he was in high school... you don't say you wouldn't make it to some college while you're in college. And I don't know about the Heinsman trophy thing but I know I heard people say he wasn't going to be first round draft pick, although I was thinking he would be. And maybe he isn't some starter... but he's still in the NFL. And in a few years maybe he will be a starter.. he didn't say that they didn't say he wouldn't be a starter, so it's still reasonable for him to make the commercial.. Because he was picked first round in the draft, he did go on to a good college.. won the heisman trophy. And you may think he's over rated, but I thought he was pretty good.. I didn't get to se him play that much but he looked good to me lol...

Personally I think you already hate the guy so when you saw the commercial you didn't want to like it. So you didn't think about what he was saying

You ever notice that many that preach cultural diversity go out of their way to bash people that are high-profile Christians... EAT ME LIBERALS!!!

I would not want a liberal to eat me. Tickle Me liberals (females).
