What are your thoughts on the season so far?

I think the play is really good this year up to this point. Living in Detroit gives us the priviledge of having CBC, so we get their double headers every Saturday which means being able to see a lot of the eastern conference teams that we don't get to see since the schedule is so messed up. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE THE SCHEDULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????

I'm not going to make any predictions, all I'll say is that i'd love to see an original 6 final. Detroit vs. Montreal or Toronto would be a dream come true, but Anaheim may be too tough this year.

The Red Wings are having a ceremony Tuesday Jan. 2nd to honor Steve Yzerman, retire his jersey and such, should be a great night. He was captain for 21 of his 23 years in the NHL, unprecedented..

Thoughts on the playoffs:

Eastern teams to make it (in no particular order): Sabres, Canadiens, Devils, Hurricanes, Thrashers, Bruins, Rangers and Senators (I still believe!)

Western teams: Ducks, Stars, Sharks, Red Wings, Predators, Canucks, Oilers and Flames.

Stanley Cup Final: Ducks win over the Canadiens in 7 games.

I would also like to note that the only Canadian team not to make the playoffs by my prediction is the Toronto Maple Leafs. :jester:

Sadira and I do not have a problem with television schedules. We have the NHL package, so we watch any game we want at anytime. The season has been pretty good so far. Martin Brodeur is still the best goaltender out there and is in second place on the all-time wins list and third on the all-time shutouts list. The New Jersey Devils are in first place in their division so life is good.

In regards to it being the Canadians versus the Ducks, Snail you really need to put that crackpipe down. :jester:

All I want to know is When do the Rangers get the Cup? :evilha:

I don't care about the television schedules, just the schedule itself. Playing Columbus and Nasheville 8 times a year is what I have a beef about. The Western Conference teams don't get to see Crosby, Ovechkin and others in the east.

I've thought about getting the NHL package also...so that means you saw Detroit beat NJ in NJ then? :firedevil
