You know, that first pic kinda seems like how the animated Batman would look...well if he had the rubber suit instead of tights in the 'toon.

Bale in that first pic does the "I'm really pissed off so you better damn well give me the info" face pretty good. Heh..and that's pretty much the only face he'll need to use inside the suit.

After all, he only has two expressions. One is "I am Batman and God help you if you mess up and piss me off." (usually that's the face he uses when he's in a "good" mood. lol)

Then there's "You've messed up big time and I'm thinking of every possible way to break every bone in your body" 😛

Bale is indeed a very good actor. It's too bad that half of the time he ends up in well-intentioned, but badly written, movies... (re: Equilibrium, Reign of Fire, etc.) Batman Begins should beat the hell out of all the other Batman movies to date. It's got Christopher Nolan at the helm (Memento, Insomnia) and the cast is just amazing... (Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Clive Owen... just to name a few)

I don't think I've seen any of Bale's movies before(not sure..I might have)..but from what I've seen of the pics and trailers he's got the look, he's got the voice, he's got the pissed off attitude...

He might actually the place of... that guy that does Batman's voice on the toons (arrgh, I can't remember his name..Kevin..something..) in the minds of fans as THE Batman (sort of like how fans think of Mark Hammil as THE Joker)

And I hope this really does lead to a JL movie. THAT...WILL....RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now in daylight, of course that costume's gonna look dorky. Bale's Batman however, would probably scare the crap out of people even in daylight.

Dunno if I ever heard of the guy. Hope he can act like Flash from the JL animated series (I think that's the JL movie they'd go for since most kids know that version..)...that version of Flash is my favorite...I love the way he annoys the hell out of his team mates by just being a smartass at times. And yet, somehow they still like him...hell, even Batman seems to think he's a cool friend (now that's something you'd never expect..but there's gotta be at least one person around crackin jokes to keep Batsy somewhat sane...although Flash pisses him off easier than the others. lol)

Michael Keaton did a heck of a job pulling off Batman (especially after Mr Mom). Give the man his props. You know that you - and all of us - were caught up in "Batmania" when Keaton's Batman came out. Two big majors against his Batman was 1. Joker was Jack Nicholson. NOBODY was gonna compete against Jack in that role. However, Keaton did more than keep his head above water, even considering the situation. 2. When you mention the first series of Batman movies, everyone always remembers the last one. That was the most horrible, ugliest, rendition of Batman ever created. Geesh I prefer Adam West over that garbage - and I'm a huge Alicia Silverstone fan. But even I have problems sitting through that mess because the writing was so horrible.
Now we are getting back to the original Batman with dark settings, cool suit and 'hopefully' a good storyline. Because I gotta tell you guys, no matter who is playing Batman or what costume he's wearing - if the writing stinks that movie is gonna tank like the Titanic.

Just knowing he can find out anything about them and find ways to take each of them down has to make them a little nervous around him. He might not be the most physically powerful hero, but with his brain, he's probably the most dangerous one of all.

When I used to watch the Justice League cartoon
with my kids, I made it a point to discuss two
points;

Batman is the only one without super powers,
Yet he holds his own in battle,

Batman does more investigating and problem
solving than the rest of his peers, combined!

Then again, I guess the same could be said
about Spongebob. 😉

Oh and I think Keaton's Batman would give
Clooneys the smackdown, for whatever that's worth

Later on Batman reveals that he could have left at any time, but he was staying in what would appear to be a no win situation on his part to keep tabs on everyone.

Oh and don't forgot how he paid that Ultra Humanite guy three times what Luthor was paying him..and when Flash asked what that was about, we find out the villan gets a 24 hour opera tv station set up in his cell, which is right next to Luthor (who obvouisly hates opera lol)...

I love how at the times Joker told Batman he was dispicable , and the time Flash asked what he was talking to Humanite about, Batman had a smirk on his face. Kind of like he was thinking "Yep, I'm an asshole, and I enjoy it."

And man, is he full of surprises..on Justice League Unlimited, Circe turned Wonder Woman into a pig...and to get her changed back, Batman had to SING for Circe...and he was actually GOOD!

Seems like the only skills Batman lacks are social skills. 😛 😛

I saw one of the villians The Scarecrow whos real name if memory serves me right is Johnathan Crane yes? I also heard Ras Al Ghul is gonna be in it who is one of two villians (Bane being the other) who know that Bruce Wayne is Batman. Should be interesting...beats George Clooney already by the trailer alone! 😀

BAne is not in this movie. The Scarecrow and Ra Al Ghul is,

Yeah, Bane was in that crap movie , "Batman and Robin". And that was the WORST version of Bane I've ever seen...the turned him into an idiot, when he was one of the few villans to ever figure out Batman's identity. Not to mention weakening him by using the Arkham inmates(and outta all of them, only Mad Hatter suspected they were being used), then breaking into his cave and snapping his back.

Only other one who could pull that off would be Ra's Al Ghul.


Although Bane isn't in this movie, I bet we'll see Ubu, Ra's right hand man. In the comic book and cartoon, you hardly see Ra's anywhere without Ubu.

The other one is when Luthor forms the Legion of Doom. Batman is captured, and restrained in a device that is virtually impenetrable. All he can do is talk, and yet he is able to get Cheetah to make out with him, and is able to get the big ape guy and the big dead guy to fight each other. Then when the Joker has finally had enough, and goes down to have his brand of fun with the Batman and kill him slowly, Batman has escaped. Later on Batman reveals that he could have left at any time, but he was staying in what would appear to be a no win situation on his part to keep tabs on everyone.

That is Batman.

Yeah, but right after the Batmobile lost its wheel, the Joker got away.

That roomate story is a trip!

Hey, just today I was going thru boxes an I saw
my large batman special comic. Remember, the
occasional large magazines? Do they still do that?

Anyhow, I have the 'Spiderman vs. Superman issue,
in poor shape... and... The Batman vs. Ra Al Ghul!
In fair shape! I believe one of the Batman- animated
episodes told this same tale. The other day I
told someone they just might borrow from this same
story when they wrote the new screenplay.

We will see...
