Heh, sucks to be you! Anyway, want some of this fine, warm, sunny British weather? (don't laugh, it's true!)

ALBANY, N.Y., April 4 - It looks more like January than April in the Capital Region. Ice buildups that began last night have brought down tree limbs and power lines from Rochester to Albany and caused the cancellation of most schools in the area.

IT MAY BE beautiful to look at, but the icy wonderland can be a real menace in lots of ways.
On the roads Thursday night, the ice wreaked havoc with drivers -- causing multiple car pile-ups.
The weather was severe enough for the Amsteradm Police Department to ask motorists Friday to stay off the city's roads during the duration of the storm.
Between 2,000 to 3,000 households were without power Friday in the Capital Region. A lot of the outages are in Schenectady where a transmission line is out of service.
Niagara Mohawk officials say service should be restored throughout the day, but if the freezing rain continues, the outages could last longer.
NiMo also announced an interruption in power service for their customers northwest of Gloversville, in Fulton County. This involves about 3,000 customers. Power will be shut off between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. so a downed tree can be removed from a transmission line.

sigh...gotta love the weather...ice,sleet,freezing rain and thunderstorms...and that was all last night 😛
