ok so who is the real killer in "Basic Instinct"

i can't seem to get an answer..i know that at the end, Sharon Stone's character has an icepick under the bed, reaching for it like she was going to kill Michael Douglas's character..(wishful thinking lol). But was she the killer all along? or was it Dr. Elizabeth Garner? Douglas's psychiatrist? thanks..i'll not sleep until i get an answer. I thought of googling it, but not sure what to ask. i've seen this movie several times, mostly edited..sighs..although one time i did get to see the infamous cross leg shot..

I have always been a big fan of his acting myself.In fact i think he is as good or better an actor then his father.

Basic Instinct was mediocre at best...I thought it was ok on one viewing, not so much on future viewings. I guess I can see how Sharon Stone was the killer, but the fact that I never really cared who it was is proof that I didn't like the film.

I have to admit that when I first saw the movie, I was a little thrown by the ending. But I definitely read somwhere, perhaps it was the movie tie-in book, that the gist of the movie was that Sharon's Stone's character was the killer all along.
