Here's what I churned out in response to the replies on the previous thread. ^^

The_New_One: Yep, that's exactly the game I was talking about, a similar spin on (the original version of) 'House on Haunted Hill', only this time in a horror theme park where the scares are real and so is the danger. Yes, it was the one with the senses meters. ^^

As I heard request for both upperbody and foot tickling, I made four Poser images to satsify all. 😉

In the first two shots, I simply take advantage of Eriko being stuck in hanging stocks...and her ripped clothing (fun fact for Illbleed: the worse you do in the game, the more her outfit gets ripped up 🙂 ) to tickle her belly and underarms. ^^

Unfortunately (for Eriko), another original char of mine, a gothic twist on the Warcraft 3 Night Elves named Kelyn, decides to slide in and tickle her soles with both her tongue and fingers in the last two shots. ^^

Khali tickling hips/underarm

Eriko laughing

Kelyn lickling soles

Both of us tickle torturing poor Eriko

Enjoy. ^^

Those are some interesting ideas. Did you create these all by yourself, or does the poser program do it all for you? I've never used it or heard of it, so I wouldn't know. It seems easy though.

Good work.

Basically, Poser gives you the framework and you build up off of it. So at its most basic level, it gives you human (or inhuman, mind you) figures to work with, but where you go with the actual posing and what you want to be seen is up to you (camera work, animation, poses etc.). ^^

You can find a lot of props/clothing/hair items around online, or you can make them yourself as well using third party softward such as 3D Studio Max or Maya (I think). For instance, I dabble in texture work every now and then. Textures can be applied to pretty much any figure or prop you want to change appearances or give surfaces a better look.

It's a very nice program...it's easy to start out with but you can certainly make very amazing work (far better than I'm doing <: )...but it does get tougher to work with the deeper you go (animations take a lot of timing and patience, for instance).

So all in all, Poser helps, well, 'pose' the ideas I put together. ^^

Khali
P.S. - it can also help with designing poses for drawings as well, in case someone has a hard time picturing the desired pose they want in their head 😉

Yeah, I figured some of the things you said, but thanks for going into detail about it. I asked because I've seen alot of artists using that poser program and they make models quickly, like you are. So it led me to believe its easy. I guess its just like regular penciled artwork in the end however. Its only as good as you make it. 🙂

Oh yes. Das bery nice, Khali! Nice to see you're delving more into upperbody stuff, though your foot tickling pics still rule!

Cool!

I especially liked the last one, although both you and Kelyn really need to get tickled. Maybe something along the lines of a tickling fight. Mutual tickling is always so much fun!!!

U'r pics are just awesome! Keep up the great work!
And I Have a little request, too. Everybody is drawing Aeris/Tifa tickling pics. Would be great 2 see one from you, too! 😉

I guarantee there will be a pic Khali being tickled soon. I'm sure of that! 😉

I just love the last two, Kelyn licking soles and Both of us tickle torturing poor Eriko. 😀 😀 Great work, Khali.

First, general thanks to all for the replies. ^^

C_E: Yep, that's it exactly. You only get out what you put into it. ^^ Poser isn't easier than drawing, it's just different...and actually I prefer drawing due to both increased detail and more feeling of 'creation' associated with it. 😉 Again, I'm not trying to downplay Poser by far.

gripped: *winks* Yeah, I know. ^^

critterlord: Heh, heh...yeah, I'd say both I and most of the original chars you've seen from me (tho in particular Kelyn, who's quite mischievous 😉 ) are just asking for a tickling...we'll see... ^^

T_N_O: Ah, sure. If you had any ideas in particular involving them, let 'em rip. Though I hope that it isn't getting 'old' or 'repetitive' if I also do a Tifa/Aeris drawing...

Seeing you draw such a picture would be nice. Although, I will say that it will be repetitive, not of you though. I think its time requestees move on and ask for different characters that have nothing to do with Final Fantasy. While I only drew that one picture, and I have more planned specifically to follow up that picture, I don't plan on drawing more after that. At least not until I've finished drawing everything I've wanted to, from the series I've wanted to. Then again, its a case by case situation, so you never know.

I'm sure you're the same way, right? Most artists would agree that its not in the nature of an artist to stay with one idea and not expand beyond it.

- Damien

How many James Bond movies are there..? 20..? Every one of them making millions and millions on the box office. That doesnt get repetitive, too. Enough said.
As long as the idea of the pic is nice, it wont get old, and Khali, you have awesome ideas 😉 That tickling/licking stuff is great and I haven't seen an aeris/tifa pic with something like that. I'm sure it's going to be gorgeous 🙂
@ Chimp: Can't wait 2 c it 😀

You seem to question a lot people's actions, C_E. Leave them alone. If they want more Tifa, Aeris, etc. then let them have it. Oh, and Khali does draw as a matter of fact. Her older posts her should show that.

I'm not questioning anything, and I know she draws. In fact, I've been aware of her before she joined this site. I'm quite aware of what she does and does not do. And everyone is intitled to their opinion. I feel there is too much material of those two characters, you may feel differently. Thats your choice, and its hers in whatever she decides to do. I was merely suggesting the requestees try and keep it fresh. Its up to the individual artist. I did infact express my wanting to see her draw one, and I also said that it wouldn't be repetitive of her. And its not like I'm against it that much. I did say I had more pictures planned for that. So I don't know where that came from from you. I feel your just looking for an excuse to repremand me or make me appear to be some antagonist here, and your in no position to do so. Lets just carry on, shall we?

- Damien

Please, please...don't say anything more on this. No reason for any 'bickering' or differing opinions. ^^

I understand completely what both/all of you have said...yes, I don't like too much repitition in what I do. I usually limit drawings/images to two in a row of a particular character before switching to someone else (barring if they're original chars of mine, but that's a different story by far 😉 ). While there have been quite a good number of FF7 themed pics lately, I will do this Tifa/Aeris one next (as, acutally, I have done VERY little of drawn work involving either of them), and then switch to something else...I for one like to do work involving the more underrated/obscure characters, actually, mainly to keep things 'lively'. ^^

Anyway, will work on it.

Khali

I'm not bickering. He just shouldn't have been so hasty. And besides, I said we should carry on. And thats what I'm doing at least.

You think almost just like I do about when to draw and how many. In fact, the last part about wanting to bring the obsure characters, and lesser known characters into the light is something I also like to do. Maya Ibuki for example. Of the Evangelion pictures I drew, she's the only character in that album so far. I wanted to make sure such an underrated character got some lime light. As far as original characters, well they should be drawn often, so as to make them better and expand their world.

As I said, I'm looking forward to your picture, however it may be. Its always nice to see another artist's rendition of popular characters. 🙂

- Damien

*does his best Richard Madeley impression (a UK TV presenter)* No... no... I dont bicker... no... no...
Just playin' with ya son... cheer up.

Can we expect any more pencil sketches, Khali? They're always fun.

Sorry, sorry...the word 'bicker' was wrong to use above...

And as for any new pencil sketches...well, what do you think this request is for? ^^

Khali
(gimme a day or two)

Very nice work, Khali. Have fun with any of the stuff I sent you yet? 😀

You should get into more texturing, as you mentioned...it gives so much more to an image. Hair is a bitch, especially on the P4fem, but I do my hair texturing post-render in ArcSoft by hand, so I don't worry about it much. There are better and more technical ways, but I like my stuff to have a bit of a comic feel to it, so that's just my style. Renderosity has some great tutorials on hair.

I like what you're doing a lot. As Palpatine once told a young Anakin Skywalker..."We will be watching your career with great interest..."cue ominous breathing....pause for effect...

😎

Dave: I've tried those morphs out a few times, just haven't gotten an official use of them in a pose just yet. Thanx again for them though. ^^

Yes, I'm trying also to use textures more often, as they certainly do make things less generic...especially the hair. The default hair props in Poser aren't so good, but sometimes they ARE just what fits a particular character (for instance, one of them fits Tekken 4's Christie Monteiro model very nicely).

And believe me, I check out Renderosity almost daily for tips and tricks. ^^
