The next morning, Monday, Ross entered an Uber early in the morning, to make his 9 am flight to OKC, for his meetings with Fritz, Steve, and the potential investors, and the gas shows.
Ross's flight arrived shortly after noon. He was met by Fritz and Steve outside the terminal. The three men greeted each other, and then rode in the SUV to the office, to begin the discussion.
"Okay, Ross, someone told us that there could be as many as one hundred potential people for this show. It will definitely be about fifty. However, if some people are interested, there are contacts that they can get us to, for either a Zoom Discussion or in person show this week " Fritz said.
Ross grinned. "That sounds just beautiful, my good friend and partner" Ross said to Fritz.
The men went to the office, ordered a quick burger delivery lunch, and then began contacting the people for the discussions.
The lead contact man said to Ross, Fritz, and Steve. "Please show me everything you guys have via Zoom today. I know that it will take us an hour each way to get to the fields. Then, after you show it to me, please email it to me. I will email it to the appropriate people who could or would be interested, and let them view it on their computers. After that, I will get back to you guys via email or phone about just how many potential people will come to our first show tomorrow. I'm figuring round number twenty five each day,. which would be one hundred between tomorrow or Friday, give or take a few" The contact man said.
"Thank You, and that is just fine" Fritz said to the contact man.
Fritz began by showing the contact man the field sites, probable needed investment, potential return time for first check and ongoing checks, and so forth. As usual, it was likely that each investor would need to put up between one hundred thousand and q2uarter million investment. With a return of anywhere from three to five years on each initial investment to break even, and then any profits would come later. The average monthly check for such an investment would on average be between two thousand and three thousand a month. Also, depending on the other sales of the gas strike going forward, existing investors would receive bonus checks. The contact man was very satisfied, and said he would meet Ross , Fritz and Steve at the office the next day at nine am, to began the shows.
After this meeting, Ross Fritz and Steve went to dinner. "That seemed to go well, guys. Realistically, if we show it to say, one hundred to one hundred fifty people, how many can we realistically expect to sign up?" Ross asked.
"Whoa, boy, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's say just from this week, twenty five would be realistic, which say is probably anywhere from two million five to five million, compromise number close to four million. With that kind of signup, and our commissions alone, at ten percent each, say, four hundred grand to maybe a half a mil, not bad for four days work, market man" Fritz said.
"Now you are beginning to sound like Kayley, Mister P , my good friend and partner. If you told that to Kayley, she would be walking out of here yelling at me to sell you know what company" Ross said.
"And she would be right on. Speaking of which, how is Mister Timothy Patrick these days?" Fritz asked.
"Oh, just fine, very busy as usual, buying up one company after the next, keeping me very busy, and rolling in the dough " Ross said, chuckling.
Ross went back to the hotel, and called Kayley. Luckily, it was not that late. "Sooo, what happened in gas land today with the boys?" Kayley said.
"Talked to an introduction man. Shows begin tomorrow. Should be four shows from tomorrow to Friday. I may be able to combine two of them and be finished Thursday, but I am not promising, so dont hold me to it" Ross said.
"Tis okay, sir gas boy. You said late Friday night or early Saturday . This teacher is just hoping that will happen" Kayley said.
"It will , Kale. I promise" Ross said.
The next day, Ross, Fritz, Steve, the introduction guy, and twenty five investors rode out in several SUVS to see the fields, meet the field surveyors, and discuss the potential numbers. After that, it was back to the office for detailed investment discussion, and handing out paperwork of potential needed investments, and time frame on both closing investments, and potential return of first check payout on the investment.
The same pattern repeated itself on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
At the end of the week, between the one hundred potential investors that the project was shown to personally, and another hundred that the situation was shown to via Zoom and via word of mouth, an incredible one hundred fifty investors committed to sign up. It was agreed upon that the contracts would be drawn up by the attorneys, discussed with Fritz, Steve and Ross's company attorney and signed within 30 days.
One the meetings were over and the investments verbally agreed on, Fritz was jubilant. "Woooooooo Hooooo! Let's go to dinner, dear partners! This is our biggest investment pool and investor pool yet! Thank God for all three of the men at this table, our ever expanding company, and that beautiful natural gas strike that we still have so much of, in spite of what we have sold off! " Fritz said.
"We are so blessed, guys. I am so blessed to have both of you as my friends, Steve and Fritz, and as my business partners" Ross said.
"Can you stay until tomorrow morning, or will the teacher lose her cool?" Fritz said.
"I will explain it to her. I will tell her that in addition to discussing all the details, that we must have dinner with a contact and an attorney who cant do it any other time. I will make a first flight to JFK in the morning, and deal with her when I get home" Ross said.
Ross then went into his office to call Kayley after making a 7 am OKC time flight to JFK which would arrive at noon.
"Kale, we hit the jackpot. Of the people we showed the gas fields and specifics to, we showed everything to two hundred people, and one hundred fifty will be signing up,. Someone said we could get two million for each of Fritz, Steve and me, but even if a few of those guys change their minds at the last minute, it will be well over a million. This is our biggest investment yet! " Ross said.
"Oh,. sweetie, I am so happy for all of you. With my summer vacation coming up in a couple of days, why dont you work half a week this week, and let's get the Hell out of New York, and go to Las Vegas. Fuck Tim Patrick. Tell him you want a hiatus from him" Kayley said.
"EEEEW! I do not want to "Fuck Tim Patrick , Kayley Ann C. I want to "Fuck You" (Ross whispered) when I get home" Ross shot backi.
"I think that can be easily arranged" Kayley said sweetly.
Ross got off the phone with Kayley, had dinner with Fritz and Steve, went back to the hotel, slept a few hours, then got up , and hopped on his 7 am flight to New York.
As the plane took off from OKC to head to JFK, it had truly been an exhilarating week.
Not only had Ross, Fritz, and Steve signed an extreme amount of investors, the strike was not even half sold off yet , even with that just completed Gold Mine of signings .
Now it was back to New York, and likely, celebration time with Kayley.
Or would something.. or someone.. else disrupt the couple's planned celebration and excited mood?
That would be seen.
