Tommy Brown, who played both at shortstop and left field for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1944 to 1950, died three days ago (on January 15th) aged 97.
Why is that notable?
For two reasons.
First, he still holds the record for being the youngest player to hit a home run in an MLB game, at age 17 in 1945.
Second, that leaves only four men who played for the Brooklyn Dodgers still alive:

Jim Gentile, born June 3, 1934
Fred Kipp, born October 1, 1931
Sandy Koufax, born December 30, 1935
