Congrats to Jamie Foxx, I thought he really deserved this one.... If "Ray" didn't win best picture I was rooting for Million Dollar Baby and it took it... A great film.

I didn't even watch the oscars this year. ooops well i guess i don't get caught up in all the Hollywood drama and star stuck on goings... 😀

I was happy to see Jamie Foxx win the award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in "Ray", and Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman & Hilary Swank deserved their awards as well.

Did you see the backless dress Hilary was wearing? Now THAT was the most exciting thing about the entire show for me.

I was sooo glad Morgan Freeman won, because the Academy owed him one after his breakout year in '89 in which he had 3 movies, and ended up with nothing, and for all his great movies in the 90's. I am happy to see they got one right...finally

However, it would have been nice though, if Scorsese (sp?) gets one for best director, because he is another one that doesn't get the recognition deserved

I think all who won deserved the prize, but I'd also like to see little Johnny Depp win at some time.

Scorcese deserved best director. As usual, the Academy didn't even include my choice for Best Picture -- The Bourne Supremacy. I haven't seen "Million Dollar Baby", so I can't judge it...

Forget the "Porn Supremacy", what aboot The Passion of the Christ fer chrissakes?

It only got two nominations...

Guess we all know who controls Hollywood, and the media in general.

Cheers.😀

*scratches head* You're being sarcastic these days, Moses, eh?

Anyway, The Bashing of the Christ was ok, but it really overdid the whole beating thing. Yeah, yeah... I know, that's how the story went, but please, can't we also see the better parts of Christ's life? The story of Christ is a lot more interesting when shown in its full context, rather than just the last day or so of his life. Gibson obviously had a political agenda in mind with this movie, but I will give him some artistic credit -- when I saw this movie, I did not expect Gibson to take so much poetic license. Certain scenes were very visually impressive, and the portrayal of Satan was entertaining in that oh-so-creepy way. To be honest, Satan was my favorite character (especially with that scene involving the infant with the old man's face). Monica Bellucci did an excellent job as Mary Magdelene as well.

I was very very happy to see Charlie Kaufman walk away with the award for best screenplay. That man is just brilliant, and Eternal Sunshine is my most favoritest movie ever! Heh. Muah!

Gay S&M never does well in Hollywood.

The Aviator was good, but Scorcese has done so many better films, most recently, Gangs of New York.

John Dykstra winning best effects was cool. He helped make Star Wars what it is!

Wished I could have seen Minnie Driver sing that night. Too much Beyonce! Guess Suge Knight really does control Hollywood, and the media in general... The song that won the award wasn't even sung by her during the ceremony. As has been said so many times before - "HA ha!"
