The San Diego Padres are calling up highly touted prospect Franmil Reyes from the minors. In the article below, he made what seems to be a very bold statement. He was like "Every time I go up to the plate, I know I"m going to do damage, no matter who is up there pitching."
It seemed like and arrogant comment. Franmil Reyes, hasn't even gotten an AB, in the major leagues yet. Major League pitching is much tougher then minor league pitching. Just my opinion. This is from www.espn.com

Babe Ruth, in 1927, hit 60 home runs, batted .356, had 165 RBI, had an on-base percentage of .486, a slugging average of .772, and an OPS of 1.258.
Quite a year!

And still he struck out 89 times that year.

So he did NOT do damage every time he went up to the plate.

I don't really mind comments like that. I see it more as a confidence thing and not necessarily as arrogance.

He's already hit four home runs through 14 games (at the time of this post) and if he can get his batting average up to anywhere close to what he was doing in AAA earlier this tear, then he'll be force to be reckoned with.
