The great violinist Niccolo Paganini would often saw partway through some of his violin strings just before performances. In the course of the performance, the strings would break - forcing him to perform the virtuoso act of finishing the piece he was playing all on one string.

.....most of Paganinis stuff is considered almost unplayable on 4 strings let alone 2!! the man was a god dam badd ass on the fiddle, the Jimmy Hendricks of his day.

Why the heck would a violinist saw partway through his strings? Doesn't make sense! But then, he's a musician, so... 😀 Anyways, why the sudden interest in music? ARE you taking a music appreciation course, like guitman suggested, or what? I'm curious.

Not only the Jimi Hendrix of his day, red, but also the Robert Johnson of his day - like the great Delta blues master, Paganini was rumored to have sold his soul to the "deebil" in order to secure his amazing playing ability. Paganini did look kind of demonic, so maybe it's true...
