Pain Games: How do you rate?

Just curious how those into BDSM rate themselves in terms of taking some erotic torture. Let's say we shoot for a 1-to-10 scale, with one being light pain, like a mild spanking, and ten being those maniacs who dangle from the rafters by hooks through their flesh.

I'd rate myself as a 4 or 5 or so. I think I used to maybe be a tad higher, but I'm kind of losing my taste for pain as I get older, it seems.

So, how much can you stand before it turns from enjoyment to true agony?

Also curious if you have ironic pain-related quandaries, as I do. For instance: While I can take a decent walloping from the whip, I absolutely hate any kind of ice/cold torture. I've met others who are quite the opposite.

as one of little to no experience, i have no way of answering that question. Lol
I do know based on what i've seen that i'm not into any sort of stretching/ tearing/ bleeding/ cutting/ piercing, but I am prone to watch a harsh flogging. Not so much with canes, because it goes into that cutting catergory after a while. More like paddles; you can swing and swing away on those things and never leave more than a bruise. Of course I'd never go that far myself, because bruises are just gross looking. but there is something about that soft red glow of a properly whipped posterior that gets my heart going. That being the case, I'd rate myself at about a 5, 6 being the breaking of the skin.

I will rate myself at a seven, I would think. I have been whipping well beyond having a red ass, and I found it quite a rush! Granted, the next days of recovery were not the most pleasant, and I would hesitate to do it again, but it is a good feeling to say I endured it.
