I have followed the Giants almost my entire life, as well as football. To me it is mind boggeling that the Giants can actually still be alive, actually in pretty good position, to make the play offs.
Now, I am a life long Giant fan, and if you asked me if they are a playoff team right now, do you know what I would say? "You have to be f*****g kidding me!!! Right now, as I said in another thread, the Giants are about as bad a team in the NFL right now. Their offense is out of sync. You can't just hand off to Barber, who says he is retiring at the end of the season. Granted, Eli Manning lost Armani toomer, his possession receiver, to a torn ACL. their best pass rushers, Uyminorah and Strahan were out a while due to injury, but come on! Even with those guys in there, they NEVER stop their opponents on a third and long passing situation. Somebody has to step up and make a big play! WTF do they have to do, bring LT out of retirement??? Speaking of making plays, Eli Manning has to step up. When a receiver quits on a pass, especially if it results in an interception, he has to pull him aside and rip him a new one. I'll give him one more year because Coughlin will probably be fired this offseason. It so blows my mind that a team which is 7-8 as I post this, is practically in control of their own destiny? Outside of the Bears, and maybe the Eagles based on how they are playing right now, their is not a team that I think is Super Bowl worthy.
Dallas is about a year away with the development of Romo, and T.O is an asshole, but there is one thing you can say about him, he goes out there and plays hard. The Saints are on the up and up. Bres is a comeback player of the year candidate, and Bush is starting to gel. I can't remember too many times a conference was this diluted in my life.
Any other thoughts on this?
