I must be "crazy" to want to travel to Detroit, have a party the weekend afterward, and then two weeks after that host a gathering, but I digress.
This is not an official gathering but a general party so there is even less pressure to do anything but have a good time. Below are links to my Yahoo group, My Space, and Live Journal (depending on your preference) for a party group I am calling "The Margaret Cho Inspired Parties." Myself and two of my roommates are hosting the first of what we hope to be many more cool and wacky parties.
What is the MCIP? The MCIP stands for "Margaret Cho Inspired Parties." This is based on a comedy routine of hers where she noted "a creepy connection between leather sex, 'Star Trek' and the Renaissance Faire."
I did not think this was creepy at all, I thought it was spot on and so I have decided to use it as a loose excuse to have a really cool and wild party! The first one being October 22nd in Silicon Valley with a Masqurade theme (details to be posted on the group in the next day or two).

I will handle screening so we keep a fun atmosphere but I don't think we'll have too much trouble. Many of you who are close to me on the forum whose email address I have saved in my list should get an invite soon, if not feel free to go to one of the groups and join! If you have no life and are a part of multiple groups (like me) you could join all three.
