Passing Of A Good Friend

I'm very saddened.

My Dentist, Dr S, who was also a good friend, passed away last Tuesday.

Dr S lived down the street from me, in another building.

I met Dr S in, of all places, the slot room at Acqeuduct.

In July 2015, I won a large slot jackpot.

A few days after, I met Dr S. I had not been to a dentist in a long time, and he told me to visit him.

I had been seeing Dr S ever since. I noticed that in the past year, he did not look well.

Many times, while Dr S always wanted to be paid of course, he would have patients who often could not afford "The standard going rate" so , as long as a patient could pay him a reasonable amount. Dr S would clean their teeth.

Rest In Peace, Dr S. You were a great dentist, and a very kind man

Hey, sorry for your loss. Hope you are doing okay. The loss of anyone in our lives, or even a reminder that we do not live forever and it is coming for all of us, can be tough. Remember them for who they were and the good they brought and try to live your life to the fullest. Every time someone close to me passes, I try to use it as a reminder to take advantage of the time I have left and to do more with my life. Of course that requires me to shake all my debt, but maybe one day.

Dr S was not young. He was 84.

I most remember him for the fact of how kind he was, and the fact that we shared a mutual interest of occasionally going to the casino. Dr S played slots. In the past year, he had not gone as much,. and I've gotten more into horses.

I believe that he had lived in this town for most of his life.

I'm just trying to process it.
