I was looking back at some of my older threads & posts and had a bit of a *hurk* moment. -- Mostly related to some of the TK threads/posts I made. I was actually almost embarrassed by them. I think mostly because I feel like I came off as a total schmuck who was utterly clueless about the fetish, compared to what I know now.

But still-- Total cringe.

And the font I used to use was pretty fucking bad.

To those of my friends NOW that never informed me of this Then?:

Beatings. Many beatings.

Keep in mind that past posts reflect the beginning and ultimate transition as to who we have become today...look back with fondness not contempt....<3<3
 
Uh yeah. Posts, threads, my old screen name which we must not speak of. Ew. What was I thinking...
 
We have all grown over the years...........except me of course....
 
Who you posted as yesterday, will not be the poster today. Time and experience changes the individual.
 
I've made mistakes and a few do make me cringe. I came to wrong conclusions of what motivated a few people here and instead of taking a closer look at to see if my thinking was flawed, I just spouted them out loud thinking them correct and truthful. In one instance my final opinion about one person is still the same even though I was completely and totally wrong as to the events that led to my conclusion. ( Another member here gave my a rather precise and lengthy history lesson and I am glad they did.)

I'm glad that the truth, although painful and embarrassing when you put yourself in the spotlight, can make you better if you let it. Even better if you have friends that will show you the truth, no matter what, and still count themselves as your friends.
 
I've inserted foot into mouth and stomped vigorously here so many times I lost count long ago. Now, I try to live by this: Think twice, post once. Often I'm successful, but not always. I work on it.
 
That's when you just choose a new screen name and reboot your TMF identity. Cut your losses. 😎
 
I do look back sometimes at things I've written. I'm overly analytical and critical. I do think you should look forward to the future and not dwell on the past. You are an amazing person who is being shaped by new experiences all the time. What you wrote a few hours ago, you may not agree with months from now. But it's who you are at this moment. Embrace it, don't be embarrassed by it.

Ru and I have talked about this a few times. Some of our posts from way back when are SO not indicative of the people we are today. And yeah..some of them totally make me wanna :pukefight: But I just try to find solace in the assumption that no one cares enough about what I said five years ago to go hunt it down and see what an epic fucktard I was.
 
LOL of course...I think I used to use an awful pink font as well 😛...and some of my posts... :facepalm:
 
Whenever any of the old threads I've posted in get bumped , I can't help but wince at some of the overly boisterous comments I used to leave , particularly in regards to feet images & tickle vids.

Ugh. Whatta yutz.

I think I actually remember my very first post; I told Marquis that he wrote like Chuck Palahniuk and needed to keep it up. So look how that turned out. 🙂

I'm not embarrassed by my old posts or threads. If there's anything I regret from my earlier days around here it's that I didn't give enough benefit of the doubt to people whose opinions got on my nerves. I regret the missed opportunities for friendship.
 
Some of the threads and posts I've made in the past do make me cringe, but nothing makes me cringe more than when I look back at my posts and see how I wrote. Like R for are and U for you. I think, how did no one know that I was a minor when I first joined? It was so obvious. :doh:
 
Not embarrassed by old things I've written. I look back and question some of my older artwork though.

And for the record, there's nothing wrong with Comic Sans.

I look back and I can't believe the way I talked to people in here. They say that when you go looking for trouble, you're gonna find it. They also say that when you get into an argument with an idiot, the folks witnessing can't tell the difference. Took me a while to learn.

I acted poorly.

For me, it's a different world, nowadays. I'm unemployed, and my wife's got some half-assed part time job at a half-assed, horseshit box store, and the house is in deep shit, and it would take a year to sell, if that, given the currently "improving" economy, and as we speak, the apple of my eye's about to wake up in an hour, demanding a bottle and a fresh diaper. Any joy and smiling on my part nowadays is due to him, which is okay, I guess. The real world's enough, and who needs to use these threads to upbraid some mentally defective, co-dependent attention *****, anyway?

I like the current me than the 2003 me, that's for sure.

@CrystalLight: you've matured...greatly :rockon:
