I saw on the news that Pat Roberston, leader of the 700 Club, spoke on the need to kill Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. I think he is no better than those Molsem fanatics spreading hate around the world and I think this is only going to cause more people to hate America. What do you think?

I would think it depends on the maturity of the rest of the world. When I see a Bin Laden video I don't hate Saudi Arabia more. If the people of the world are able to make mature rational decisions then they should focus on the person, not generalize to the nation they are from.

David Lloyd George once said of a fellow politician, "When they circumcised him, they threw away the wrong bit." Obviously, the same sort of mixup occurred when Pat Robertson was a baby. But we've known this for years.
In the first place, even if it was a good idea to covertly eliminate Chavez, we sure as hell can't do it now, can we, Pat???
In the second place, Robertson is trying to weasel now and claim he didn't say it, which makes him not only brainless but dickless.

I saw that peice on Patsy as well. I always had a feeling he was fake. Ever seen him pray? It's like he's over acting. Turns out he's made similar remarks about Husane in the past and also used his position to promote his own products. It's men like him who give christians a bad rep.

Pat has been a very respected host, author and speaker in the past. For some reason, he seems to have degenerated badly over the past 4-5 years or so. Sad to see such a (former) upstanding spokeman for the Christain community making such a death spiral....
