I never like to "toot my own horn", so to say, but something I learned of today might well have saved a major tour company in town extreme embarrassment, and is indicative of bad customer service, by either the Philadelphia Phillies, Conestoga Tours of Lancaster, PA, or both.
I am going to a Phillies Braves game on Sunday, July 23. The confirmation card I have from the tour group states that my bus to the game leaves Lancaster at 11am, with game time at 1:30pm. Today, I was surfing the websites of both the Braves and Phillies, and imagine my surprise when I looked on the schedule for July 23rd, and the game was listed as an 8:05pm start for ESPN. I immediately called the tour group, to inform them of what I had learned from the schedules of the teams. They informed me that they had heard nothing from the Phillies, and would have to look into it, and call me back. You would think that if the Phillies have a tour group coming which has spent thousands of dollars to attend their game, that the team would have had the courtesy to inform the tour group of the game time change, and in turn, the tour group would have informed it's customers.
I feel this is completely inexcusable, and is the fault of either the Phillies, the tour group, or both. Simply pathtetic.
