my vote is yes. beating a very good colts team on the road, plus some questionable calls by the refs, and the Pats themselves playing a somewhat sloppy game, and still come up with a victory. my god, its incredible! i bow before their greatness! :bowing:

I did not have a chance to see the game, but theres not much doubt these teams will see each other again for the AFC Championship. It should be quite a rematch.

72 Dolphins

You know that somewhere out there, those 72 dolphins dolts are keeping the champagne chilled for the moment they lose. I hope they never get the chance.

😎

sorry to boast your bubble.... Just as alot of people thought; Pats defense is very mediocre.Colts showed a good running team can control the ball and can drive the ball right up the middle without much resistance.

AS if to prove how evil the Patriots are I am agreeing with a Cowboy fan!!!

:ignite:

Seriously...the Pats looked good enough to win it all yesterday, but they did show some flaws which a good running/defensive team (*cough-the Steelers-cough*) might be able to exploit.

Plus Brady is still a whiny bitch when he gets knocked around a little bit...heh.

I hear he was giving the ref an earful at the end of the game...wish I had tape of that!

Patriots not best ever team

Yes the Patriots are a good team, but these idiots calling them the best team ever, no way. I think the Steelers of the 70s' with the steel curtain would beat the Patriots, the Cowboys of the 90s' would too. How I would love to see Randy Moss the down the field and Jack Tatum take his headoff. There is always a team that people think is the best ever, but we will never know.

L.C. Greenwood, Joe Greene, Ernie Holmes, Dwight White...Greatest D-Line ever

backed by the ugliest Linebacker ever, Jack Lambert..

Would have tore Brady's head off and....

J.T. Thomas and Donnie Schell would have ripped Randy's dick off.

And you left off Mel Blount. A freak for the time he was playing and a man they changed the defensive rules just to TRY and stop.

Welker would last one crossing pattern against that team.

The playoffs will tell the true story; the Pats came back after trailing by 10 points in the 4th quarter with 4 minutes left in the game to win by 4.

However, Indy didn't have their complete WR corp on the field; Harris was out and Anthony Gonzalez didn't play the rest of the game because of injury it would have been a different story if Harris was out there. Because, just like Moss the Pats would have to double time him which would have left Clark on single coverage with a 3 string CB, safety or linebacker, which is a mismatch. Lucky for us NFL fans it will be the game of the century when they meet in the playoffs.

I don't see the Pats improving on offense; instead I see more teams out of the play-offs taking pot shoots at Brady and Moss when ever possible.

Yes, the pats are a good time this year; however, a couple of hail Mary which happen to connect doesn't make them better than Indy. Just luckier at this date and time.

Dont forget the two bombs Indy threw that set up two field goals for them. they got two very questionable pass interferences on those. everyones against the Pats, even the zebras! i think next time they play each other in the playoffs at new england, the Pats will win by a bigger margin.

well i think the first pass interference call was correct, but the one on ellis hobbs was terrible, as well as the interference call on moss.

It was a good game. I think they're pretty evenly matched. And while the Colts and Pats may be currently playing at a level that puts them in a league of their own, they both looked beatable (solace for the rest of the league). As the Wiz pointed out, Marvin Harrison did not play. He is the Colts top offensive threat, and generally demands double coverage. The Colts were down to two receivers once Gonzalez was out. They played well, anyway. Wayne had that one bomb go through his fingers.

At the end of the day, Moss caught 9 balls for 145 yards and a TD. Addai ran for 112 yards on 26 carries and caught 5 balls for 114 yards and a TD. I think they were the dominant offensive players on the day.

There's a good deal of talent in the AFC, so I'm not convinced that these two teams will meet again. But they very well may.

They have to meet again. the rest of the AFC is excrement.

i agree these teams will get the top 2 seeds and won't lose at home. the steelers could possibly sneak into the afc championship but i think it's unlikely.

. the play i believe you speaking of is when the defender deliberately cut into path of the receiver; if he turned his head at the same time the receiver did it wouldn't have been pass interference. however, he looked the receiver in the eye for at last 5 seconds before turning his body into his path; then he looked for the ball. the pass interferences was good; the defender can not purposely cut off the receiver

One of the penalties was borderline, but one was very bad. but regardless, nothing can stop the Patriot juggernaut!

Coming from a Steelers fan, that is just great. Just don't pass yourself off as a Patriots fan. Because if they were 0-9 you would be up the Indianapolis Colts ass sniffing as much as you can.

It would be impossible for the Pats to be 0-9. you must be mistaking them for the jets. :jester:

I can say I am a loyal fan though. I am not a bandwagon jumper like you are. I stick with my team through thick and thin. You the first sign of trouble and you are out of there. You probably were a Yankees fan until the Red Sox won in 2004 then you became a Red Sox fan. I have said before and I will say it again, you are as loyal as a prostitute.:wowzer:

I have no loyalty in any other sport. i actually dont like any boston teams except the Pats. even when the celtics were great with Larry Bird, i rooted against them. but i have remained a loyal Pats fan for 3 years now! how dare you compare me to a lady of the night! :ranty:

That was a knockout punch.

Living near KC, I should know about bandwagon fans. There aren't as many Chiefs fans as there were 10 years ago, I can tell you that. But I have noticed the tons of Patriots and Colts laser license plates on the front of cars lately.
