The Patriots will honor 14-year-old Anna Grant, winner of the PP&K competition in her respective age category, who was booed lustily by classless Colts fans during an introduction of the PP&K winners prior to the 4th Quarter. Anna was in a Patriots jersey and apparently was upset, even though she appeared to be smiling defiantly at the crowd.

I remember a playoff game two years ago where the PP&K winners were announced, where the Titans hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers during their incredible Super Bowl run. One of the kids was in a Steelers jersey and the crowd booed him viciously. The kid simply smiled defiantly enjoying and savoring the moment. Not phased at all. The commentators in the booth were laughing their asses off.

What leads one to believe she was apparently upset?

A quote from the article: "It really didn't bother me at all," she added. "People at the game came up to me afterward and said, 'It's not you. It's your jersey.'"

Doesn't sound like she was upset to me.

Yawn.

Even the 14 year old girl commented on how the fans were booing the jersey, and not her. Notice her laughing on camera when it happened? Just the Pats attempt to look like heroes and hope that people forget about their cheating. I doubt the Colts will be fined $500,000 for this, though. :blaugh:

They want to milk every bit of the patriots hoolpah now so ofcourse they will do this meaningless PR ploy. So if they win it all, it can be another shining example on a team that was proved to be cheating for part of the season, etc etc

Hell, how many times when notable celebs throw out first pitches and get boo'd cuz theyre known to be fans of diff teams, etc etc etc

She deserved it for wearin a pats jersey in indy so whatever

This made me re-read the article twice. I didn't find anything about a 500k fine anywhere. Where did you hear about it?

I was being a smartass...the $500K was in reference to the Pats fine for cheating in Week 1. I was implying that this 'disgusting' act (as I've heard it called from various NE fans, not on this board) is nowhere in the same league as the offense(s) the Patsies committed in Week 1. So the holier than thou NE fans who think that they're saving the day by honoring this girl and pointing the finger at the Colts and their fans for booing should remember their own team's 'disgusting' acts.
