Did anyone see this years future superbowl champs roll over the chargers as if they were a high school team? i hope this makes it clear that the cheating wasnt why they were winning.

That was complete domination on both sides of the ball!!!
The only thing, IMO, which will keep them from going all the way to the superbowl, would be injuries.

I can’t wait for Nov 4, which is when they travel to Indianapolis to play the colts. That should be one hell of a game. I will put my money now on New England to win, and hopefully win big.

I just wish my Seattle Seachickens hadn’t shot themselves in the foot yesterday, fumbles can really hurt ya.

Aloha, John

Chalk me up as one who never thought they won only by cheating...in fact I never would have thought they cheated until it was proven they did.

Out of curiosity though, knowing what we know now, how do you know they weren't cheating some other way Sunday night?

No matter what the actions of the coaching staff, the bottomline is that players play and still have to make plays on the field to win the games.

You could be right. i bet they somehow broke into the chargers locker room and stole their playbook! it makes complete sense on how they beat them so bad. those rascally Patriots! :blaugh:

CLEARLY, this team is a bunch of CHEATERS!!! Lets make no mistake about it!!! It now makes you wonder how on the level their Super Bowls really were!!! Don't blame me or the millions of skeptics, maniac. Belichick brought this on himself. So when you say future Super Bowl Champions, I will say, how will they cheat this time. Because you can't prove that they didn't cheat any other time.

I think the humiliating pounding of the chargers last night proved they dont need to cheat to mop the floor with the rest of the NFL. the only question now is, who will they destroy in the superbowl. :wavingguy

So what was the excuse for the jets losing yesterday? Did Baltimore cheat too? LOL!!! :bouncybou

LOL!!!
I just found this:

Billick: Jets 'illegally' simulated snap count on Sunday
Associated Press
OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Ravens coach Brian Billick accused the New York Jets of using an "illegal" ploy to draw Baltimore offside during Sunday's game.
Billick said Monday that the Jets' defense shouted out signals to intentionally throw off the Baltimore offense. Billick claimed the tactic led to the three illegal procedure penalties against the Ravens.
"They did an outstanding job. I credit the New York Jets. Their defensive line and linebackers did a very, very effective job of illegally simulating the snap count," Billick said. "They did it the whole game long. It needs to be caught."
Tackle Adam Terry bolted offside in the first and third quarters. Tight end Quinn Sypniewski jumped in the first quarter.
"That's not an excuse by any stretch of the imagination. But it is illegal," Billick said. "Our guys have to deal with it. I don't know how to help my linemen with that because, you're in the heat of battle and you're calling the snap count, and the guy across from you is also calling a snap count - which is illegal."
The Ravens won the game 20-13. Baltimore took a 20-3 lead into the fourth quarter but nearly wilted under a comeback by the Jets, who benefited from four fourth-quarter penalties against Baltimore.
For the game, New York received two penalties for 10 yards and the Ravens were penalized 11 times for 100 yards.
"You have to look at the nature of the penalties. First off, the fact that we had 11 penalties and they only had two and we dominated the game," Billick said. "I have a hard time understanding that the team that was playing so well and dominating had so many penalties and the other team had only two."

Im pretty sure most teams do a bit of cheating in their own way. its the nature of the game to get every little advantage you can.

Yea maniactickler I agree with you, I believe a lot of teams are cheating, just the Patriots got caught. I just read an interview with Holmgren, that he believes that teams have been doing this for at least five years, and he believes that it has happened to him. Thats why this is so funny to me, to hear everyone is in an uproar over this.

people, people, people, or should i say Patriot fans. listen to yourselves. You say that the Pats didnt need to cheat to beat San Diego and you try to put up this flimsy excuse of "everyone is doing it too." GIVE ME A FREAKIN BREAK.

bottom line, the Pats CHEATED. no one got caught, they did. Why on Earth would Belicheat, who people consider a "genius", resort to the tactics he employed? How much of a "cheater" is he? He is a pompous ass who got caught. He failed miserably in Cleveland and all of the sudden he's a "genius"? Makes you wonder.

Think about it. Teams have been trying to steal signals, but to blatantly VIDEOTAPE the signals? For crying out loud, that was stupid. He cheated, he got caught. Why cant Patriot fans admit this? Because they're Patriot fans that's why. I dont think the penalty was harsh enough. I would have taken away their entire draft.

This episode is not over because not only are the Patriots found guilty of videotaping signals EVEN AFTER they were warned not to, but they have been accused of stealing signals through the opponents headsets. If they are caught with that, Belicheat will be fired. His arrogant self needs to be taken down a level.

Primetime, I am not a big Patriot fan, I am a Seattle Seachicken fan. I am just enjoying joking and playing around with all this. My roommate is from Boston and is a big Patriot fan. I have been bugging him big time about this, but he has a great sense of humor, and also been joking about this subject. Everything around the house is usually followed by the comment, “at least I didn’t cheat doing it!” He even suggested that he didn’t care if Belicheat would be suspended for the year; he still thinks his team is good enough to win without Belicheat. Oh, I even love the name you gave Belicheat, I can’t wait to hit my roommate with that. LOL!!! I still think what Belicheat did isn’t unique to his organization.

Good luck to all Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Colts, and every other fan here.

Mahalo and Aloha, John

PS: I won’t joke around with this again unless called out to respond. Peace!

And you can make those plays a lot easier once you know who, where and when they are going to be during those plays.

Thirty-two teams and the Patriots are the only team spying on other teams???

I find that kinda hard to believe. I just think they were the only ones who got caught.

Funny thing is... now correct me if I'm wrong... they didn't get fined for spying, they got fined for going against the NFL rules for using cameras where they weren't supposed to.

Seems to me the spying wasn't so much of an issue as the placement of the cameras was.

They ought to use whatever method the other teams use. That appears to be more covert, much harder to detect and just as effective.

I know they cheated. im not afraid to admit that. but people seem to think thats the reason why they are so successful. as the season goes along and they bury the rest of the NFL teams, youll see why it really wasnt needed to win. now everyone repeat after me, Patriots are the best. :bowing:

First: Aquick shout out to Ms Chaos for her FANTASTIC choice of teams to root for! GO STEELERS!

Now then:

Probably the biggest problem I have now is that mr squeaky clean Brady hasn't jsut came out and said "NO. The coach never used an illegal tape to help me during a game. He never was able to tell exactly what the other team was doing by these means. And I never thought anything othan coach was genius when he was able to correctly forecast the entire game plan for an opposing team."

OK, thats a stretch...but shouldn't the team leaders be out in front saying they didn't cheat? Heck, even Belicheat didn't say they didn't cheat...he said he had a misinterpreation of the rule. Heh. Sure.

No... I do believe that you meant to say that the Steelers are the best!

But I'll forgive you for the slip.

Never! i was quite precise in my wording. :wavingguy although the steelers are looking good again. they will be tough.

I'm not so sure; they could have kept copies of anything they turned over to the NFL, couldn't they? The exact same score was a scary coincidence. There's still the Jets at New England, so they still have a chance to shock the Patriots & prevent an automatic walkthrough of the AFC East. Meanwhile, I am hoping one team (Colts) can take out the Patriots in the postseason, as no one else can do so.

This issue has been blown way out of proportion. The Pats have won, and continue to win, because they are a great team. Period, end of story.
