Mets fans, I know Iam getting mine for being arrogant to you in 2007. I want to extend my apologies for that. I know I was an ass, and, in about 24 hours or less, I suspect I will be eating my words, dearly.
As baseball fans on this forum who have read my posts about baseball know, I am a Braves fan. "Hangs head in shame", and, as baseball fans also know, the Braves are almost there with completing one of the worst collapses in baseball history.
A 10-1-2 game wild card lead in late July, an 8-1-2 game wild card lead in late August, is now all .., going.. going.. all gone! This, thanks to horrific play by the Braves, and red hot play by the Cards.
The Phillies, in a series in which they have already clinched best record, and have nothing to play for, have beaten the Braves in the first two games of this series, in the Braves home park.
Yes, the Braves have their best pitcher in Tim Hudson going tomorrow, and yes, the Phillies arent pitching their best in Joe Blanton, but, I still have lost faith.
I think one of two things will happen. Either the Braves will lose tomorrow, the Cards will win, and it will be over tomorrow.. or.. the Braves and Cards will both lose tomorrow, making it needed for a one game playoff in St Louis on Thursday, that the Cards will then win.
Fans should have faith, but, after the way this team has played, and with as big of a lead as they have blown, I'm sure one can understand why i dont. I will be shocked if the Braves clinch the wild card tomorrow night, with a win by them, and a Cards loss. I see that as the least likely scenario.
