People that freeze when tickled.

I've recentley had some fun with this one girl I met, and when tickled, she just shakes with laughter and completely freezes.

At first, I decided she likes to be tickled, but then, I asked, and she said she can't help it and it's her natural reaction.

Scientifically, how can this happen, and do you, or anybody you know have this reaction to being tickled?

I've heard of it this phenomenon before, but I have not witnessed it myself.

I knew a girl who did that when I was a teenager. She was extremely ticklish but her whole body would just lock up while she was being tickled. I'm not sure if it was something she could control or what, and when I asked her about it she said "It makes it tickle less when I tense up."

Same here, I knew a girl in high school that experienced the exact same thing. I have no idea on an explanation for that one.

Leo I have never witnessed this sort of thing but others have apparently. All I can say if she is still ticklish when she freezes up to me that would be cool cause if she is still when being tickled and still laughing like crazy that is great in my opinion. I personally don't like them moving their feet all around when I am tickling them. I like them to be restraint to where they can not move or get away from the tickling at all......

I encountered it once many years ago. It's the only time I've ever experienced it, though. Obviously, not exactly commonplace.

I have neither locked up or have anyone that I have tickled in the past lock up when tickled...the only reason why I'm posting in this thread is to increase the number of posts

Weird, I always thought it's fake in the videos when the model doesn't move at all. 🙂 But maybe that kind of reaction does exist, although it doesn't seem like a "normal" reaction to me...kinda like not being able to pull your hand away from the heat when you burn yourself.

Wow, I didn't realize it was so rare. I've had a couple of girls that did that, but I noticed this one and am trying to figure out how it works now.

When they don't move in a vid then it's cuz they aren't ticklish like most of the models. A really ticklish person can't hold still.

The thing with the freezing sounds a bit like the person is in a kinda shock and so she doesn't move.

But why would they be in shock being tickled?

I don't know. Was juz a thought. when you have really bad pain or are really scared then it also happens that you can't move. It's a physiological reaction. Maybe it happens too when getting tickled.

But I think when you are in that kind of state, you're more or less paralyzed. Meaning there wouldn't be laughter either.

Here's an example of someone similar. When she's tickled she can barely move and she can't even breathe. People like this are rare... but they do exist for sure.

Watch... she's silent and barely moving while I'm tickling her neck--she's overwhelemed--not holding it in. When I stop tickling, she "unlocks" and out comes the laughter.

I have witnessed this once in my lifetime. A cousin that stayed with my family a long time ago...who loved to be tickled and would just freeze up when she was tickled and I got to tickle her often. She also had a very quite laugh as in not a screamer. I could tickle her late at night and not have to worry about waking anyone else. I would tickle her ribs and her feet for half an hour non stop while she was hysterical laughing never even asking for it to stop.
DAMN she was fun!

I was like this myself when I was younger and more ticklish.
How I wish for those days again. It's less freezing up than a complete
paralysis though. I got tickled in the ribs one time by this girl in school
for maybe only four or five seconds but my legs simply collapsed and I dropped.
Maybe this isn't what you're referring to, but it's what came to mind for me.

It should be noted that the paralysis and weakness doesn't prevent you
from laughing like a lunatic, if anything it just enhances the feeling of
utter helplessness. 😉

That's how I react if I'm tickled by someone who I don't want to tickle me. I clench all my muscles and sort of go silent. Beatings ensue if the person doesn't stop.

Yes, cataplexy I believe this is called. Witnessed it a few times, makes it alot easier for me to keep tickling her because she can't fight back.

I, too, knew a lady like that once. She was perhaps the most ticklish person I have ever encountered, and her reaction was very much like that. As often as I tickled her, and it was often, she never laughed audibly. It was a lot of fun trying, though!

Didn't freeze as curl into a ball and just laughed her ass off.

She also said it was her natural reaction.

My personal favorite are the people that, when tickled, seem to lose all strength and just go limp whilst laughing hysterically.

i do this sometimes if i'm caught completely off-guard or my 'ler hits a "good spot". i always lose strength and am unable to fight much when tickled, but an actual inability to move at all only happens (with me) when the tickles are really intense. i'm pretty sure it has to do with overall ticklishness, as i've only ever heard of this happening to extremely ticklish people like myself.
