I remember being younger and looking it up in the phone book and being shocked...

Now in the internet era it's much easier to see....facebook, etc....

There are actually people in the world with the last name Tickle.

What would that have been like growing up? Imagine if you were a woman......as a young girl or in high school or college.....don't you think you'd get tickled all the time??

Anyone happen to have encountered anyone with The Last Name?

One of my in-laws' cousins is married to a dentist with that name. Yes, he's actually Dr. Tickle. There was also another dentist near where we used to live named Dr. Featherman. I always thought it was a shame the two of them had never met and gone into practice together.

I remember hearing over a Radio report about a women whose last name was Tickle and she was also a doctor. Dr. Naomi Tickle. Hows that for a sexy name?

Ha! Hilarious.

I looked someone up in the phone book a while back. I cant recall where he was from, but his name was Richard or Dick Tickle. I posted about it somewhere on the forum.

A couple of times I noticed the name David Tickel in the closing credits of The X-Files. Spelling's a little different but I imagine it's pronounced the same.

I personally would totally dig having Tickle as my last name, but only if I were born with it. I confess I briefly considered the possibility of having my name legally changed to "Tickle" but quickly realized that would send a message that I'd prefer to remain unsent.

Not to deviate to far from the topic, but I'm reminded of a humorous "news" clip from National Lampoon many years ago...

St Louis, MO - Ernie Gofuckyourself of East St. Louis recently had his name legally changed to Adolf Shitler. "I wanted a name that was better," explained Mr. Gofuckyourself. "But not that much better."

One of Blondies early albums was produced by a Frank Tickle. I use to wonder about what his life was like growing up.
In Vermont, there was a family with the last name of Death, imagine what growing up with that last name would have been like.

Just look in most any phonebook and you'll probably find the name "Tickle". I have many times. (Not that I have nothing better to do with my time....). 😉

Wow. Yeah, that's funny. I can remember actually looking in the phone book also when I was younger to see if anyone had the last name "Tickle". Back in my day...ya know, before the internet and all this crazy technology. lol

Does anyone remember where you could actually "prank call" people...before called ID and all that jazz. Oh man...those were the days. :laughhard:
