Personal Ads Should Be PERSONAL :-)

I think Bella is making such an important point here. I feel, in general, that this community is going through the growing pains associated with being a fairly “new” community (the TMF has only been around 6 years). Now that we’ve all admitted to having this fetish it’s time to take the next step – try to make our fantasies a reality. There are a select few of us who will get lucky and virtually ‘bump’ into someone we’re compatible with, but for most of us – degrading as it may feel – we’re confined to the personals section ::insert scary music::

This process would be a lot more interesting if posters – men and women alike (in this case, especially men, being the dominant posters) – would put something more exciting than

“SWM, ‘ler, seeking attractive female ‘lee for tickling. PM if interested.”

I have to quote comedian Margaret Cho on this one, talking about gay culture: (think of ‘strait’ = ‘vanilla’)

A straight personals ad goes something like: Divorced White Male, 41, seeks slender lady for long….conversations….walks on the beach…and foreign films. Non-smoker a plus [she snores into the microphone]. A gay personals ad is like: Wanted, Ass Bandit! Hold up this caboose!”

…I want to respond to that ad!

So c’mon, people – I know many of you don’t associate yourself with the gay community, but we ARE a sexual minority in our own way. So let’s kick up our heels inspire those in the vanilla world!

the couple of times ive posted personal ads ovver the past 4 yrs (since ive been divorced or wasnt seeing anyone), the way i usualy do it is not go on a rant about myself etc...just say the basics of the tickling aspect and then if they want to pm me, then we get into the "get to know basic idea as a person" thing. when wanting to meet someone, im more into the person myself, if i would even be able to have some kinda friendship or some kind of common ground before i would even concider meeting.

ive only had responces on 4 or maybe 5 diff occations...and on all of em when we were sending PM's back and forth to get to know the basics of each other...for one reason or another (everything ranging from a situation i didnt feel comfy with, distance, just too shy and other things) they just wernt for me or my type, so never actualy had any success for that reason. so all together ive just bout givin up on the whole internet meeting/personals thing honestly. for me from experience, the best way to meet someone is off the net and on an in person situation.

and if they dont know about the tickling fetish side of you or never heard of such a thing...if you have a strong enough bond with them and have a relationship going...they will most def open up their minds and you'll have just as much satisfaction and a nice time as if you were with someone from the comunity. you just have to be a no hold barred speak your mind and be yourself kinda person, and it will all be fine if you really have something special with this person.

i for a while was just after the mess around no strings type thing following my marrage...but now as time is moving on and im aging more and more..i've been looking to eventualy find that special someone. and to me, i dont think im gonna find that on the net. i know theres been several success storys..and thats awsome! but i just dont think its for me doing it that way.

but i do agree with bel 100%...you need to talk bout more stuff than just tickling and sexual aspect...these are human beings on the other end..unless all your lookin for is a 1 nighter or something...and i dont think there's too many ladies (if any) here looking for that...so just be respectful and look for that special someone if your gonna do things this method...and you may find someone just for you 🙂

Also, I think if you do respond to someone's ad, try to keep it clean... G-rated at first. To me, it's a huge turn-off to have someone reply to your ad for the first time by saying, "I want to tickle your feet and cum all over them." Maybe I'm too prudish, but that's gross and there's no way in hell I'm going to write them back.

I agree with you Penny. However, its a catch 22 depending on who's sending the PM. I mean if its someone active in the comunity and talks bout other things other than the fetish...then they prob wouldnt do that. But think, you get PM's from people that dont show themselves on the actual forum or comunity...they just assume this place is only about gettin off and having wild fetish action, 1 nighters, cyber sex etc.

When I first found this place several years ago I didnt know what to make of it lol I too had thought it was just a wack off place. But then as I started goin round the forums I was like WOW these are actualy normal people like myself who just have this oddball sexual fetish, and they actualy talk about everything from music to current events and life! So after seeing that, I actually signed up to try to interact and see what other people with this fetish were like as people.

Granted, some of the outsiders/lurkers who send PM's like that are really just sick individuals that have no personality or life and would have nothing better to say or think. Hell, ive got some real strange and perverted PM's from gay men on here before LOL...I just kinda laughed em off to myself cause well, im not gay but lets just say alot of my friends are and I used to work for a whole bunch of gay folks.

Where am I going with all this? I dont know...im just typing away cause im in a contributing mood this week lol
