In addition to what's already been mentioned, keep in mind that any woman posting in the personals is blood in the water to the feeding frenzy that is the TMF. Your message has probably been lost in the noise of the stampede, and chances are she's already found someone to talk to.

Also, sometimes people don't notice the date that the origanal post was made, so you may be responding to people who posted years ago and are no longer on the forum.

It could be any and all of the things above. Honestly, I think it's better to try to get to know people in other parts of the forum than to reply solely to personals. There are plenty of people here who are looking for some RL fun who do not wish to post a personal. Find one. 🙂 There's also plenty of people who indulge purely in fantasy. So long as you are respectful to everyone, I'm sure you'll find a like minded individual.

The personals could be a good place but if it doesn't work for you, it shouldn't be the only place to look.

Munches, local gatherings is a good way..... I've been here for many years but you can see my stats I'm not much of a posting guy....lol...

Giving your opinions in other threads...start new ones.....ect...

People in my opinion here are generally very nice and its rare someone would intentionally do you harm.

Normally I try not to mention "tickling" in the first few messages. Try to change it up and be interesting, though both sides usually know the reason for contact in the first place. Good luck!

pretty much everything said here can be a factor. I'd say try posting a few threads...talk to people outside the personals, and see if you can connect with someone, instead of wasting time waiting for a response from someone on the personals.
