Philadelphia Phillies Clinch Division

I am a die hard Mets fan, but I am not going to complain (in this post hahaha) and bitch and moan about my beloved Mets. The Phillies have a great team ... and actually I think the Dodgers are complete smegma ... they just benefited from playing in a really weak western division.

I think it's wide open this year, there's no real front runner. The Cubs and the Angels (in their respective leagues) have good teams, but they are not as good as their record, I think. It's anybody's ball game.

With that said though, I can only hope the Phillies get swept out of the first round again. Sorry :firedevil

I expect the Phils to make a stand this offseason. (of course I said/thought the same thing last year, but...)

Their lineup is more than solid w/ Howard, Rollins and Ute, so I expect them to win the first round vs. the Brew Crew since Sheets is out and CC won't start until game 2/3.

Whether or not they'll beat the Cubbies or Dodgers (I think Cubbies win that one) I've yet to conclude in my own mind, but they should AT LEAST push that series to 6, IMO.

MLB playoffs finally here! Let's play some ball!

(And thank God the Yanks aren't in it!)
