Beautiful day and over 2 million people honoring the world champions as we speak! If anyone wants to see it streaming live just go to myfoxphilly.com or 6abc.com.

Fuck Philadelphia. And I don't mean the Phillie, I mean the whole damn city. Fuck 'em.

Sounds like fun! I'm happy for you guys. 🙂

Were the Umpires there??? Certainly you couldn't have won that series without their help. I mean it surprises me they weren't in that pile when the last out was recorded.

Normally I would ignore ignorance but I just have to respond one more time. To the person above with the foul mouth..."nice mouth, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Man, see a shrink cause you have major issues. And to the person above who MUST be a cry baby Mets fan, did you see the Series? If you did or if you know ANYTHING about baseball you would have known that the bad calls against the Phillies were far worse than against the Rays...fool!

Cubs, Mets, Mariners, Indians and Giants fans---eat your hearts out.

Congrats Philly. I was wondering when the talent on the team would translate to a title.

This was your year, hands down. Enjoy and party like it's 1980... or 1983!

REALLY??? Bad calls against the Phillies??? Like when Rollins was tagged out at third, that went against the Phillies right??? Or how about the balk that wasn't called in game one of this series??? How about strike three to Chase Utley in game one that resulted in a 2 run homerun a pitch later. Or how about the squeeze job by Jeff Kellogg in game five before and after the rain. Burrell saw four strike threes yet they weren't called. Jason Werth before he hit his double saw strike three that wasn't called. No, there were some absolutely AWFUL calls or noncalls against the Rays. You had that game two incident with Kerwin Danley when he actually checked with the first base ump on a swing or no swing. Now since I gave you each incident of bad calls against the Rays what calls other than the Kerwin Danley incident went against you. Mind you, I watched every pitch of every game and have them all on tape. So you let me know the incident and I will verify it for you.

P.S. As far as being a crybaby is concerned, I knew my team sucked walking in to the season so from that stand point, I have NOTHING to cry about. I congratulate Philadelphia on what they accomplished. But that being said, if you are a TRUE fan of the sport you don't like the way the umpires went about their jobs. And like I said, the calls went routinely in the way of the Phillies.

I now know what Jimmy Rollins will be doing with his mouth all winter. I also know what Jeff Kellogg, Tim Welke and the rest of the umpires from that series will be doing too!!! :xlime:

1980. 1983 was the last time my beloved Orioles won the series, their opponent being the Phillies. So if history is to repeat itself, the Orioles will win again in 3 years time. I can dream, can't I? 😉

Orioles? They've got some young studs, so maybe.

My 1983 reference was to the Sixers

OK TicklingFeet4u...I am not into debates but balls and strikes are not arguable as that happens to both teams. The so called balk was a non call and besides there was no conclusive evidence on replay that it was a balk. Now...Game 2 Baldelli strikes out and Kerwin Danley...who has always been terrible...raises his hand for the third strike and then APPEALS to first which was the Phillies option and of course why would they appeal strike three to call ball four. This you mentioned. Game 3 B J Upton is called safe at first when he was out by a foot. Finally the entire handling of the rain on Monday night. I have no qualm with stopping the game but I have a REAL problem with when they stopped it as there was standing water on the field. Hamels should have never pitched the top of the 6th. I got the distinct feeling the idiot umpires wanted to see the Rays tie the game. Let me also say this umpire crew was an absolute disgrace for BOTH teams...do we agree? And the stronger team won this series.

I would've gone to the parade but I had to work that day. My new boyfriend went with his friend and he said he had an awesome time! Saw some of it on t.v. It looked awesome :veryhappy!
