Pedro Martinez pitched well. The classless Yankee fans were all over him all night. A.J. Burnett paid $82,000,000 this past off season went 7 innings and gave way to old reliable Mariano Rivera to help the Yankees tie the series with Philadelphia at one apiece. The Yankees offense led by Teixeira and Matsui with solo homers in that little ballpark the Yankees possess helped the Yankees gain their first World Series game win since 2003. Here is how this game looked in the boxscore.

NY Yankees 3, Philadelphia 1

Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E

WP: A.J. Burnett (1-0) S: M. Rivera (1)

A Mets fan calling the Yankees fans classless. Imagine that :roseglasses:

Just calling it like I see it. In 29 other stadiums Pedro gets a standing ovation for his performance tonight. What did the Yankee fans do? Oh... they did their usual...act like jerks.

I have seen your previous posts about the yankees. Sounds like sour grapes to me!😱:rowfull:

because the Yankees are a successful franchise and the Mets are the Mets.

My dad knew Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford and Roger Maris and many of the Yankee greats. My father also helped build Shea Stadium when the Mets were announced they were coming after the Dodgers and Giants left town. I could have been a fan of either team. My mom is a National League fan so I became a Mets fan. I probably know more about Yankee history than most Yankee fans do. I am a historian of the game. Fact is, whether you are a Mets fan, Dodgers fan, Tigers fan or Phillies fan or any fan, they are watching baseball these day BECAUSE of the Yankees. Because baseball could have been broken after the 1919 Black Sox scandel. It is BECAUSE of the Yankees and Babe Ruth we still have baseball these days. So sour grapes??? Think again.

LMFAO!

Today is the first time in my life that I've ever been called classless. Thank you for that, I love when people judge people they don't even know.

Glamorous... I didn't see you at the stadium tonight. I wasn't calling you classless sweetie. I swear. :bowing:

New Yankee Stadium same Dimensions as the old park!!! Wind currents and team the reason why they hit so many homers!... I was following the Mets also but lost interest when they were 25 games out by mid-August!

series tied 1-1

METS

MY ENTIRE TEAM SUCKS SUP ^____^
