so i had a physical today. not fun, but anyway, i got tickled when he started touching my stomach. i held my laughter in easily though. but after that he started talking about examining my feet :shake: but luckily he decided it wasnt necessary. i mean, i do like being tickled, but it would've been embarassing to start laughing then in the doctors office.

so any doctor tickling experiences?

I have a certain spot on one of my sides that literally takes the wind out of me when touched a certain way, like in an exam. It never friggin' fails-doctor starts poking and prodding and kneading. I have no idea what the heck he's looking for, but I have to hold my breath until he's done in order not to completely embarrass myself.

This must be a genetic thing because both of my kids hate physicals for the same reason and the same spot.......... :veryhappy

appointment today

I just made an appointment to see my doctor this afternoon about pain that I have been having in my left foot. I think it might be plantar fascitis. I love being tickled, but it is a different thing to make a fool of yourself in front of a doctor and nurse. If it is plantar fascitis, they sometimes treat that with ultrasound. Then I can humilate myself in front of a physical therapist too.

Hopefully it's nothing serious and they'll just tell me to ice it for a few days and it will get better.

Oh geez, I have a hard time with any kind of a physical or exam too. I do the same thing as Kis, I hold my breath and do my best to not react to anything. Most of the time I'm successful, but occasionally, I slip up and pull away or giggle. Soooooo embarrassing sometimes, though most of the time, they just laugh.

My wife had to be examined for the same condition and she said the first exam did tickle, but she didn't say whether she laughed out loud or not.

She also had a similar problem while at the dermetologist. He was mapping her moles/freckles and she has one on the center of her foot that is like a super tickoish hot spot! LOL! As a side note I havem in the last two month developed a freckle in the same spot on my foot! Of course, my feet are so ticklish another super spot doesn't make much difference!

Since i dont like being touched by men, i switched to a female doctor some years ago. now i dont mind the poking and prodding. :veryhappy

I just saw my dermatologist yesterday to have a mole removed on my left nipple. Before going there I had a few thoughts about how strange it would be having him touch my nipple and I really hoped he wouldn't really have to touch it, as my nipples are very ticklish and I really didn't want to embarrass myself by starting to laugh, but then the anaestesia shot I got hurt so much, I couldn't think about anything anymore for a couple of minutes.

Today though I do have kind of a problem, as the wound starts to heal and it itches a lot and of course I am not supposed to scratch or even touch it. This constant itching on my nipple is quite a confusing feeling though...

Dude, I have a mole on each foot lol. One foot it's the arch, and the other it's on the side. I also have one about an inch from my bellybutton. I dunno how she did it, no way in hell anyone is ever touching those!

It's not a coincidence

I suspect that there are quite a few ticklephiles among the ranks of health care professionals. Many doctors, nurses, technicians and therapists seem to enjoy "accidently" tickling their patients. My primary care physician happens to be female. During an exam, she'll sometimes ask if I'm ticklish, or warn me that something she's about to do might tickle. I certaimly don't mind if it does, and I've even egged her on by admitting that I'm very ticklish. I received a routine EKG in her office a few years ago. The nurse attached the electrodes and wires, and then she left me lying there on the table wearing only a gown. She hadn't bothered to close the door, thus my bare soles were fully visable to everyone out in the hall. A nurse's aid popped ino the room, smiled, and then she gave my feet a quick, playful tickle. Giggling, I jokingly asked if she was trying to get my heart rate up for the EKG.
