Its a shame the others didn't show up. I had Beethoven, Mozart, Bush, Blair, Shroeder, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zappaterro (what a name! thats a leader i can do business with), Berlusconi, Putin, Chirac and some others. It would have been fun.

John Howard is the Australian Prime Minister. The Premier's are the guys that look after the individual states... for example, Steve Bracks is the Premier of Victoria (my state). I'm being picky I know... but I feel if he's the one asking the questions about people from my country, he should at least get his facts right 😛

Incidently... 400th post yay! Thats after my posts in the humour forum from way back were deleted btw...

Well I was gonna say Prime Minister, but Premier seemed more informal. But hey, you should be pleased that I belong to the 0.000001% of people who could correctly name the current Australian Prime Minister. Its a sad fact, but Australian politics is not really covered in the UK, except in late night programmes on the BBC and the odd 'boring' piece in The Times.

Well, I'm not really a fan of politics myself but if you are, the only interesting things that Australian politics have done have been completely misguided or human rights violations

The 'stolen generation' is a great example ot this, genocide through breeding and 'good intentions'... thousands of Aboriginal children taken away from poor living conditions and placed in good white christian homes. And I still don't think Johnny's apologised for that.

Our dealings with illegal immigrants is another great example. Many hundreds of people just left in dentention centers while they wait for us to get our act together and give them their hearings for refugee status... theres quite a few children that have been born in these detention centers btw...

Oooooh while we're on that... John Howard's love affair with George Bush hasn't helped us either. David Hicks, the aleged Australian terrorist I think is still in guatemalo bay dentention center... though finally after 3 (4?) years he's getting a trial.... though who knows how fair its gonna be.
For the record, I don't support terrorism in any fashion. But I DO support human rights. This guy was put in prison and not charged with ANYTHING for years. If he was arrested on the street, you would normally have to charge him with something within 24 hours or you'd have to release him. Seriously, if he's guitly... put in jail for the rest of his life... but at least do it fairly.
