Personally,

I am a big fan of actual tickle torture, but playful tickling is fun too.

Much more intense to see someone pushed to their limits though. It's so unfair to tickle torture someone who is extremely ticklish and completely helpless to stop it-but I love it.

I prefer my personally gratifying forays to more on the "dark side", so to speak. While I tend to be far more lenient than I should be (glancing at her submissive with eyebrow raised), if given the opportunity to really have it my way, I want absolute submission (which is very difficult to obtain as most people just don't have the capacity to trust someone that much); I want him in total and complete immobility, as close as physically possible--not this "token tie-off" junk running rampant in vidclips recently--a vast array of weaponry to experiment with, as well as a convenient and temporary loss of hearing; safewords really just irritate me, especially if I'm very focused on what I'm doing. Safewords indicate the activity is a form of roleplay and keeps the control in the lee's hands, which most of us know, of course; however, if I were truly doing this my way, if my toy chose to give me control, then I want it all and I want us both to know it. If I'm topping, then I want and will brook no challenges to that control. In other words, in a situation like I've described, trust me not to kill you (I haven't yet...😉) even if I do choose to use your boundaries as a springboard, or don't lie down at all. Decisions and consequences...

Oh, errm...I guess the Reader's Digest version of my own answer is "Hard, no messin' around". 😀

I am both tickler and ticklee.

As the Lee, I am in total agreement with M.Aura here in that the ler must be in absolute control and as the lee, I care not for the use of the safe word and put absolute trust in the ler tickle me to what ever boundaries she/they wish.

As the Ler, I would hope the lee has that trust in me as well.

The wife is the same way so the me could and should be we when the situation calls for such.
I give her total control and freedom when she is the ler and do that for all lers.

I don't switch often, I'd rather be the ler. I really have to trust in order to switch (trust/control issues you know). As the ler, I'll help push some limits, but honestly don't want the responsibility of having to keep watch all the time.

I lean toward the playful....whether I'm lee or ler...but, I can't say I'm at all against the idea of the tickling getting more intense and even wicked. I guess it depends on what I'm after at the time. I do know I prefer very lengthy, involved tickling...giving or receiving; variations between playful, sensual, and intensive make it the experience it should be.

I wanna see a girl get it good, but ejoy it, you know? I can't stand anything where the look on their face, the sounds they're making, or any reaction in general signifies that they don't like it or can't take it. They may really be enjoying it but react that way, but I feel like they're not enjoying, even if they are, I'm not a fan of it... So, hardcore with bondage and everything, but instead of screaming and facial expressions signifiying uncomfortability, I like to see smiling, laughing faces. That's what I think is great about tickling... It can be intense, but in a fun enjoyable way (depending on the person).

One of my personal favorites from TIB is Robin Faye... I've only seen the previews, but I love her because she's always laughing and giggling, and it looks and sounds like she's having a really great time! Of coarse there are many others, but she's my personal fav.
