Along with endings, plot complications are a major bugaboo of mine. I find it easy to come up with initial scenarios, but when it comes to devising plot complications and coming up with endings for my stories, it's "Uh... um.... I'm trying to think, and nothing is happening!"

Anyone else here have that problem? Anyone care to share how they deal with it?

I know what you mean. I tend to write piecemeal, composing the tickling scenes I'd really like to see, and then connecting them with action. For instance, if you know your characters have to end up in an abandoned factory, that gives you something to craft an atmosphere around, and then hopefully you can come up with a reason why the characters need to go to an abandoned factory in the first place. It seems a little backwards, but I always have the most fun letting the tickling drive the plot.
