Poem titled "This Time"

You had your chance
You blew it
You didn't give me
The love and respect
I deserved

This time
I know better
You are untrustworthy
A liar
A cheater
A player
Someone I trusted
And you stabbed me
In the back

I thought
I knew you
But I guess I was wrong

You were my best friend
And now your my worst enemy
But it's like the saying goes
Love thy enemy like you love thyself

I don't know
How I can love you
Now that I see
The real you
Who you truely are
And the monster
You've become

This time
I will not come back
I will not give you
The satisfaction
Of knowing that
I'm hurt and scarred
By your actions
By your words
And by your lies

This time
Is the last time
I will love you

Time is a good healer, nice poem, very sad with a taste of anger.
It should raise some worthy comments and i hope you get a good response.
Having said that it dosn't seem quite so busy on here as it used to be, a while back.

i have been lurking around TT for a good while now and decided this was a good time to come to the surface. I also enjoy writing poetry a great deal and have been for several years. i really like this piece you have put together. i like the directness and raw emotion, i think there is much to be said about this topic when put into words. pm me if you are interested in some of my poetry or i may just post some if i get around to it.
