Here is story I ran across.....

Thought you'd like to know what happened in a town north of Bakersfield California. After you finish reading this, please forward this story on to others so that our nation and around the world will know about those who laughed when they found out about the tragic events in New York, PA and the Pentagon.

September 11th, a Budweiser employee was making a delivery to a convenience store in a town called McFarland. He knew of the tragedy that had occurred in New York. He entered the business to find two Arabs clerks whooping and hollering and really cheering it up. It was obvious they were elated with what had happened earlier.

The Budweiser employee went to his truck, called his boss and told him of the very upsetting event. He didn't feel he could be in that store with those horrible people. His boss told him, "Do you think you could go in there long enough to pull every Budweiser product and item our beverage company sells there? We'll never deliver to them again."

The employee walked in, proceeded to pull every single product his beverage company provided and left with an incredible grin on his face as the clerks looked on in shock and dis-belief. He told them never to ask for their business, ever again.

It seems that the Bud driver had a friend who drove and delievered for Pepsi. The Bud driver called Pepsi driver and told him what had happened. The Pepsi employee called his boss and about 2 hours later he pulled up, and pulled their entire line of products from the shelves. That would include Frito Lay, etc. Furthermore, word spread and all vendors followed suit! About 2 months later, the store was closed indefinitely. Good old American Passive-Aggressive Butt-Whoopin'!

Both Budweiser and Pepsi happens to be the drink of choice for that community. Just letting you all know how Kern County handles this situation!!

Pass this along. America needs to know that we're all working together.

As much as I hate to rain on your parade...

I sent this article to everyone I knew when I came across it, too, and unfortunately, it's an Urban Legend. Somebody with too much time on their hands wrote this from their fertile imagination. I have since that time done away with the link to the site that details it, but if anybody wants, I can ask for it again. I was so jazzed when I read this (it's been over a year since I first saw it), and then to have it torn out from under me, it sucked. Sorry!:bump:

I'm glad that story's an Urban Legend. I don't know if pulling stuff from store's shelves is legal or not, but most Arab-Americans (who are citizens and have been here for a number of years) did NOT celebrate 9/11. Happy Holidays, TM and Dan. :santasmil
