posting Stories...a question

I. use Apple pages program to write and post stories ..and send them single spaced and double spaces to separate dialogue and paragraphs.
Ive noticed that after a story uploads...the entire story is spaced out so that the single spaced lines bec doubled as is the double becomes 4 lines blank between the lines...
Is there a way to highlight the entire entry once on the TMF board and correct it without having to do it manually?

If I understand you're problem correctly, this happens because of the type of newline that Macs tend to use and that Apple pages uses. If you don't have any special formatting (such as italics, bold, underline, font size, color, etc.) and only the plain text of the story is important before pasting it, then try this:

1. In Pages, click the File menu
2. Click Export to and choose Plain text.
3. Save a temporary document in a place where you can find it quickly.
4. Open the document (it should open in TextEdit).
5. Select all of the text in that document and paste it into the TMF editor text box.

Oops, I lied...I just found an easier way if you are using Safari as your web browser. You can copy from Pages directly and instead of doing a paste as you normally would, click the text box on the TMF to place your cursor in it, and go to the Edit menu in Safari, then click Paste and match style.
