Posting Videos

Everytime I try to post a video file I go into Manage Attachments, use Browse to locate the file and I click Add File. At this point it hangs for about ten minutes, which I assume means that the file is being uploaded, however, it is not actually being uploaded. How do you know the file has been uploaded? There is no progress screen like you get when you download a video . Am I doing something wrong? Is it just impossible to upload video on some pc's?

Hey Floyd ! I read in one thread that when going above 2.0 mb post it should not work well ( or the faq ) and you know when the file is uploaded when it shows itself under the add file line. I had the same problem it tooks about 10 minutes and after the selected file disseapeared :umm:

If the file is over 2 megs it will try to upload but then it will just go back to the way the screen began as if you hadn't done anything at all.
When a file is uploaded correctly you will hit Attach File, it will upload the file (depending on your browser you may or may not see the status in the status bar), and then it will show up in a list in that same window and you will have the option to upload up to 4 more files.
Try it with a photo or something you know is smaller than 2 megs so you can see what it's supposed to look like. 🙂 HTH
