Potent fetish ruining moments in tickling fiction

Many of us might have had a moment where a work of fiction (be it either a story or some artwork) has freaked you out to a point you got a feeling of deep discomfort. I remember years ago, even before I discovered the tickling community, I stumbled upon some tickling stories when I was googling about the existence of my fetish.
There was one series that I reluctantly read to the very end, because curiosity got the better of me, despite feeling very disgusted with its content. It was the story of Shannon, a 17-year old girl who, after losing her loving parents in an accident, gets turned over to her abusive Aunt Helen and Uncle Hank who kept her captive and tickled her day and night. Very dark stuff in my opinion and it took me time to recover enjoying my tickling fetish, due to it being a huge turn off. It's quite well written, sometimes quite unrealistic, admittedly. I hate that story from the bottom of my heart and I decided to look it up again after 10+ years. Still freaks me out.

Anyone knows similar experiences?

I know exactly what you mean. Hell, go read any given work of fiction in the story section. They haven't changed a bit lol
Kidnap.
Tickle.
Rape.
Magical Stockholm Syndrome keeps the story from being a tale of rape, but instead: an erotic tickle adventure.

That kinda thing ruined this fetish for me.
When I first found that there were places for tickling online everything seemed fine, but then I found out about that kinda thing and even now there's still that "shadowy place" of this fetish that I don't bother with.

I agree with everything you wrote. It's indeed some dark stuff I don't ever touch, because it turns me off to a great extent and as the title implies, basically ruins my fetish I enjoy so much otherwise.
Personally I like tickling because of the dominating aspect of it and I love it to be torturous, but not as a tool for violent rape. In the story I gave as an example no sex was involved, but 'spiritual rape' (as I call it) was certainly part of it. It basically boils down to the same. In that regard it's more or less rape fiction.

It makes it even worse because one real life niece of mine used to be raped by her stephfather and he used tickling and physical violence (if she resisted too much) to dominate her. Sick stuff. It's not rare it all I believe. Now I'm an adult and probably physically stronger than him he'd better not cross my path.
I might feel guilty, because before I was sexually active I used to tickle her playfully... I still see her every day and she's one of my closest family members I get along with quite well (but tickling is something that doesn't even cross my mind when I meet her without horrifying me, especially since tickling evolved into becoming sexual to me).

This isn't the main reason, though I dislike many other works of tickling fiction.

And as much as it disgusted you, you still went back years later and read it again, with the same reaction. I'm curious as to why? Something disturbs me, I don't go back to it. It's unfortunate, but it's all out there in some form or another. Just with the internet now, it makes it too easy to bump into unpleasant things.
One tickle model I hired a few times told me one of her other recurring gigs was doing death fantasy stuff. Generally young women being abducted and punished for very slim irrational reasons. All ending up being killed in some fashion and having their bodies dumped somewhere. She liked the play acting, and it gave her the excuse of being naked and tied up a lot, which she liked, but only once in passing did she wonder what kind of people would buy such videos. I visited the site out of curiosity, and was pretty disgusted with what I saw there. Lots of screen caps from the videos offered, most of which towards the end started to look like crime scene photos. I liked this particular model as she loves being tickled and can't get enough of it, but I could never see myself buying one of those videos because she's in it, nor have I gone back to that site since. It's all about choices. (And no, tickled to death was not one of the options there.)
If it turns you off, don't keep watching. I do wonder about those customers there. This place and the steady diet of watching women being tickled helped make me brave and embrace my fetish rather than having panic attacks every time I'd see some gal with her bare feet propped up on a table or chair in a coffee shop, now I can look without the reactions and enjoy the beauty for what it is. But what about them folks that have more destructive fantasies? Do these places help make them more brave in acting these things out?
It's not illegal to make these fantasy things, but the inspirations they may later cause does disturb me. Like with the Columbine High School shootings, I knew when I saw that, that we were going to be seeing more of that in the future, and unfortunately, I was right.
Can only control your own reality.

Another fetish-ruining moment, but not in tickling fiction. The Japanese version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker involves one torture session. Censorship made Naked Snake to laugh instead of scream in pain. This was because in Japan they needed to get a T-rating for that game to increase to sales. Serioulsy, I'm so glad I play(ed) the English version. Potent series and fetish ruiner!

Here's a thread about it.

One word. Curiosity. It drives me to seek knowledge I don't want to have. I cannot bear the thought of being ignorant of the existence of something. It's some kind of curse I have (and I think many share with me). After +/- 10 years I forgot specifically how the story went. The existence of this entered my long-term memory again and I decided to look for the details. I even forgot the names of the characters, lot alone most of the details. Maybe the content wasn't that bad and maybe I was young when I read it all. I only needed to google for '+tickling +aunt +uncle +teenager' and there it was again before my eyes...

It sucked reading it, but I went through it once again. Only then I am not itching to know, but also then I'm very turned off and have my fetish ruined for the day.

Haha! I think we've all had those experiences where we've stumbled across that "weird part" of the Internet. It's a risk we take when browsing adult content. I recall one time when I stumbled across a tickling video, that took a wrong turn. It was generically labelled as "girl gets tickled." The first half of the video was pretty hot because there were some foot-worshiping elements involved, then all of a sudden, the ticklers decided to whip their "things" out and start... well it wasn't until much later that my friend introduced me to the term "bukkakke" *shudders*. Not my thing at all!

Thankfully I have a strong stomach, and a sense of humor about these things, so it wasn't scarring. But it was definitely a buzzkill, as the change of tone in the video did not sit well with me. I have since learned to skip through videos in order to catch things before I get too into them.

Yeah, I'll sound off here. I don't read the fiction, not for the same reasons other listed. See, I actually do have fantasies about all those "dark things" you all despise, but I hate how utterly repetitive and poorly written tickle fic usually is. I do look at art, though, since I'm an artist! But especially around here I have to be careful about what I click. Whenever I see someone draw... I guess they're supposed to be grandma feet. You know the kind. They're veiny and sinewy... you can see all the bones and their nails are unkempt. Ugh. It makes me want to vomit. Kills my fetish all damn day.

There are very few things in this world that 'disturb' me and rape isn't one of them. Maybe I'm just a sadistic motherfucker, but violence excites and intrigues me. If it's not rough and bloody then it isn't fun. That's just me though.

I love the shannon stories. This fetish is about power and control. Its just a extreme fantasy. You root for her to escape but loved when she gets caught. Every video you watch or picture you see WILL be of someone who DOESN'T want to be tickled...being tickled. Every porn will have girls literally screaming "NO, STOP, DON'T, LET ME OUT, I DONT WANT TO BE TICKLED' PLEASE STOP, I CANT TAKE IT, STOP" and yet you don't find any of these to be ticklerape or wrong? Ya'll need to re-evaluate your stance on this

Perhaps that's how you view it,but not all of us have the same views on this fetish as you.

I won't reevaluate my reasons for disliking rape and its nauseating overuse in tickling fiction. Ever.

And for the record, take a look at those tickling videos, they're nothing more then staged scenarios. Behind the scenes, the paperwork has been signed and safewords have been agreed upon. How do I know? Because any legitimate company wouldn't last three minuets in this lawsuit loving world without such legal contracts.

In fact the only real clip that I can think of off of the top of my head where the tickling was an actual surprise was the video where the two guys paid the dominatrix, then tied her down, and started to tickle her. Even then it's debated on whether or not that was an actual legitimate scenario.

In short, I don't need to re-evaluate anything and frankly, I don't need someone trying to tell me how to think.

I'm a sadistic motherfucker too but only with women who are stronger and of whom I don't deprive them of their life and future. I just dislike the uncle sexually abuses his niece scenario which is not rare at all in real life. She also was deprived of her education and kept locked for a huge part of her day, forced not only lead a horrible but also a very boring existence. This of course after she lost her loving parents and hadn't emotionally recovered from it yet.
It doesn't make me hard to be honest. I must say that I like how the stories are written. For tickling fiction they are among those stories that aren't repetitive.

In one chapter the corrupt sheriff arrested her, invited Uncle Hank and Aunt Helen and kept her tied up for days, tickling her to passing out several times. Not too realistic in my opinion. If you literally tickle someone KO, that person would wake up with high degree migraine.
This also slightly bothers me in the visual art in our fetish. In some cartoons you have victims who get tickled for 20 hours a day for half a year (with the prospect of not getting released). Whatever! Where's the realism in this?µ

I'm not saying they need to be changed or banned. I'm sharing my personal taste and how it can turn me off sometimes. Please disagree with me of you feel to.

Well. Most of it all is semi-noncon. The women agree to be subjected to torture beforehand. I think there are more levels between con and noncon alone, in my opinion. It would indeed be boring if a 'lee didn't struggle for freedom. I give you that, but it doesn't mean she necessarily hates it. It can also be love/hate (hate at the moment, love afterward). We are all different.
